7:58 "Dawn's Pious Stricker" Does NOT work on bosses. Only on Underlings, Specialists and Champions if you take the "Sudden Death" node. It's says clearly in the description and it shows in the video at 8:52

While "Faith Leech" from Warlock sound good... it's still bugged in 1.0.4.0 , it reset the shield to 0... "Dawn's Pious Striker" doesn't work against bosses... can be perked to work against champions... "Solarfall" is way better then "Bulwark of Dawn" for damage... To work the way you need can be perked for: - "Sunrise" not need to channel and can be moved on recast; - "Dawn Abridged" reduce initial cast time; also to "Those Who Favor Fire" some fire conversion; and many other usefull perks... And "Bulwark of Dawn" can be a better defensive spell, if needed, with "Haven of Men" to regenerate force shield...

Problem is, i tried to make fireball build mage however the damage simple isn't holding up in later levels where u fight bosses that have 60+m hp. 10-15k fireballs aren't going to kill it.

im currently around lvl 53-54 killing elites and normal mobs without a problem except from some melee enemies, almost every melee enemie is killing me in 1 - 2 hits because they charge me and i cant stay away from them so im wondering how do i fight the melee enemies?

Culling strike (Dawn Pios Striker) explicitly says it does not work again targets where it would matter, i.e. bosses.

Well... as a mage: In phase one keep your distance from him, in the second phase you may wanna hug him, really stay close to him, his leap does more dmg than his melee, and finally the third phase, dodge the leaps and the explosions... To make the battle owerall easier, equip some resistance gear.

There aren't any nature based skills, so shaman isn't really an achievable theme

Would be really nice if you didn't blur out the background as you were going over the skill tree. Just seeing the node pics doesn't help for me to be sure I have the wheels in the right position. I arranged mine based on the image earlier when you first started but as you were going over it I wasn't sure I set it right and since I couldn't see what you were mousing over b/c of the blurring, I hope I have it right.

thanks for the Guide, it really helped me out, when i got into Open World and struggled with killing anything. 2 Things you may be able to help me with: First: Where do i get the third Ailment from? Still missing some of your suggested Points, but none of them explain a 3rd Ailment so far. Only got Burn and Schock. Second: I'm freaking squishy, Elites kill me almost instantly, any suggestions? xD

Single attribute gives a larger multiplier from your attributes. The more splitting the lower the damage.

Not really. When you split the stats, you are getting around 97% of the increased damage bonus, but are not wasting the auxiliary feature of that stat. After a point, diminishing returns hits extremely hard and you don't get much at all for your ten points other than a measly 0.05%. per point. Once you hit 50% in either crit chance, or affliction chance, there's no reason to keep raising them from level ups alone.

Glad Fextralife are doing builds on Wolcen, although this particular build shows just how underpowered "pure" casters in this game really are at the higher levels. A good level 70 build should be clearing expiditions 20+ levels above it. Hybrid builds can do it with ease, as can pure Warriors. "Mages"? Not so much yet. Look at how much willpower it takes to down just an ordinary, non elite beefy enemy...all of it. Meanwhile, Bleeding Edge (which most, but not all high end builds use) is a lot more efficient and faster, or even better than that, the broken Flight of Gaavanir that can literally one-shot bosses, wipe out trash at ranged in a second and has a 5s cooldown. One of the current top builds is a hybrid caster that makes liberal use of fireball, anamoly, but also bleeding edge to stack multiple afflictions. At level 72 it's clearing level 150+.

Bleeding Edge is so broken that everything else in the game is trash comparatively. Every build clearing 20, 50, 70 levels higher than it relies on Broken Bleeding Edge to achieve this. probably not as intended.....

I will have to agree with that. There is no excuse for not having a skill or something that helps with the willpower drain. It goes out ridiculously fast. Hope that is on their to-do list.

"+% Spell Casting Speed Score" Is not the same as "+% Spell Casting Speed". a "+12% Spell Casting Speed Score" effects the Cast Speed score. Cast speed Score Then effects the Gained Cast speed. a Cast speed Score of 828.8 Provided me with a increase in Cast speed of 45.4%. Level 38. Max stats on Agility. Including a "+50% increased Cast speed SCORE"

Most of his builds are mediocre at best , he is doing "ok" against enemies lvl 72 .... people are fighting enemies 100+ easilty with a decent build .

@@akungfustudent79 so true, bleeding edge is in my build, but ironically it's not my main dps. The flight skill that throws the hammer is, too bad it's got a cool down. Once I'm maxed I'm going to make a cooldown reduction build for it. But for now I'm one hitting everything at level 55

is it just me or mage in this game is so under powered? I was running your flashing fury build (lvl 50 rn) with 1 hand lvl 40 unique sword and easily clear dungeons with maxed out added difficulty. Then I re-spec to try this with the same kind of weapon (I got a 2 handed unique staff lvl 40 too) and damn its so hard at the boss battle. Any of you guys got some other good mage build?

If it helps, on the third go-round, stay close in when he shields himself. I do not get hit much and the ring of fire starts outside of me. I does not start from eldric but a bit out. But it was very close when I finally beat him. You just can not afford to die on the first two go rounds.
