max willpower and rage on helms is like a 95% chance as the first roll, and the special affixes like X% dmg per unspent roll can only ever roll as the 2nd sarisel affix. pretty important to know

The video is quite ok, so you deserve to be thanked for it. Unfortunatelly, there is very little information about this game no matter where you look, so if this video its all what we have, thank you. However, you just stops at the more interesting point, this is how to mess with gems when trying to get rid an afix you dont need, it always removes something you dont want to be removed. For me, the best strategy ive found so far is, starting with a yellow weapon and: 1) craft down to only 2 prefix on weapon , being one %mat damage and the second flat material damage, quite easy using abyssal , ohms and a gem to keep the %mat damage (green, red or physical one), after a few trials you get it. 2) then add 2 subfix being one +%crit chance and the other %crit damage using one eribean on each shot , guaranteed if slaming alexandrite on the sockets, as you say in the video. Very good subfixs for a weapon, easy cheesy. 3)Now with this good base, increase quality up to 5 stars. 4)Next go and increase rarity to legenday, and pray. This last step is frustating because I never get another flat material damage but eihter one elemental or ocult what pretty much ruins the weapon. And here is the big question: How do you remove a flat damage you dont want? Every time ive tried Ive removed an afix I need, and the ugly elemental or ocult flat damage is still there. So this is the point right now about crafting for me. Any suggestion? Thanks

Just my luck (apparently) that I run headlong into this Alexandrite-onto-weapon "bug" you mention on my first attempts at re-rolling. After doing it twice I was completely mystified that the result I was seeing in no way resembled what the "tooltip" says on the Entropy Orb. At least now I know....

Yeah it seems to be something with weapons specifically. I haven't had issues slamming armor although I haven't exhaustively tested it - there may be some broken combinations I'm not aware of.

Is it possible to get a weapon with % material dmg and all three physical flats? I have a gun with %material, physical dmg, and toxic dmg. Is there a chance when I upgrade it to legendary it gets rend damage? Or is it possible to craft rend damage? The data isn't clear to me because it shows 33% chance each for rend dmg, bleed ailment dmg, and material dmg%. However, the "craft only" affixes all add up to 100%. Correct me if I'm wrong but to me it seems like I could get rend damage from upgrading but if I'm crafting, I'm guaranteed to only get one of the "craft only" affixes. Sorry for the long post.

affixes are separated in 2, prefixes and suffixes, as u know ; but gold items can't have 4 prefixes and 0 suffixes, it will be 2 pref and 2 suff (for legendary it's 3-3). Now what u need to know is if a stat is an prefix or a suffix.. and u ll find it on wolcendb.erosson.org/ where prefixes and suffixes are separated for each items (all affixes are also listed here : wolcen.co/affix-list ) I hope u understand more like that :) hf

so I'm really confused looking at WolcenDB in re to rolling on boots, shoulders, gloves, it lists gems to socket to obtain X result.... yet you cant socket those items. also, am I not seeing g somw thing in game? that site states you can 2 helm sockets. lastly- a. I see no flat atk damage gems, only spell damage. b. and that .0675 percent to get roll is ludicrous. people have got to know how to dupe in order to get enough crafting orbs and gems to get these results.

I socketed a eternal emerald in a 1 socket gun with toxic dmg on it and used a tear on it and it removed the toxic damage. That doesn't seem right. Isn't it supposed to preserve an affix based on gem rather than remove one?

Saw this on a reddit post so take it for what its worth: I actually have experienced this mostly because I have used the physical and rend gems before like you. So I just went to check the wolcen database just now and it turns out the physical, toxic, rend, attack speed, and critical damage gems have no additional keyword tags! Name="physical_Gem_Tier_12" Keywords="gem" Where as an elemental one looks like this: Name="Frost_Gem_Tier_12" Keywords="gem,frost" or the Genesis Stone: Name="Special_gem" Keywords="gem,sarigem" IsSarigem="1"

I'm currently running 160/170 maps and I have yet to find a single item with an ilvl listed under the quality. The only lvl it lists is that the gear/weapon is lvl50 or lvl60 at the bottom. What am I doing wrong

if i had a belt with Flat Aether to Spell Flat Shadow to Spell Flat Rend to ATTACK How do i remove the "attack" in order to try to get a spell suffix instead? thanks!

Put either an aether or shadow gem in it and use the abyssal tear, and pray to whatever god you believe in that it hits the attack. It's not guaranteed but it's the best odds you'll get.

I thought I explained it well enough in the video but all mods fall into the categories of prefix or suffixes. 2 max prefix/suffix on rare, 3 on legendary. That's all there really is to it. If you're full on prefixes you can't roll another one. It's the exact same system used in Path of Exile, Last Epoch, etc.

111 lvl items can roll both low lvl affixes and high lvl affixes while 161 lvl items can only roll high lvl affixes so you don't need to worry about low rolls anymore technically 111 lvl items could be as good but youd need to be much more lucky than when farming high lvl expeditions

Would "special damage" be the equivalent for a spell casting build on the weapon as the "material damage" for melee? (same functionality of scaling on the weapon.)

If you're asking whether it will scale the flat gems on the weapon (i.e. flat fire to spells being scaled by the local %elemental) I'm 99% sure the answer is no because the mod itself specifies "attacks with this weapon."

Everything youre talking about here is for a melee material build right? No point trying to roll % material damage on a casters staff whose spells do no material damage. For that you want % occult damage, probably

Started mentioning this in the video then forgot to finish it, whoops. 150 for weapons 160 for armor. Why? Because at ilvl 100 all affixes can roll, but at 150+ only high tier affixes can roll. So if you are rolling a 150+ weapon, t3 is the lowest affix you can get. 150 covers most affixes but resist rolls on armor require 160 to eliminate t4.

Anthrax Craft some if you need better gear to get to the higher levels, but don’t waste too many mats, at least thats what im doing. Good luck :)

Honestly I've never tried to turn a 3 affix rare into a legendary because the legendary exalted orbs (edit: Greater Eribean Tears) are more tedious to acquire than the regular ones. Seems much easier/more efficient to get a perfect 4 stat rare and then gamble on the legendary. That being said, the overwhelming majority of the times I've done it (probably a couple hundred now) it's been a 5 stat legendary, very rarely a 6 stat. I'd say probably 75/25 split, if not 80/20.

I never would craft a legendary from 3 affixes, always from 4 because you wanne get sure that you get 4 good affixes. Yellow items can drop perfectly too so dont need to reroll them allways. Espacially all items where you cant socket you should find with 4 affixes because you dont wanne waste this rare mats for a random-factor.

Great guide man I had no idea. Quick question you said the 2h sword has the highest base weapon dmg. Its because lower end dmg is higher and more important than say Profane executioner 60-132 compared to Fiendish 73-113. I always thought top end dmg matters more

I'm not entirely sure if he was saying that the Fiendish Heartsplitter has the highest base weapon damage. I think what he was saying is that the best 'starting point' to work from for a weapon is for it to have flat physical and % material damage along with the % material ailment chance.

Honestly I didn't check to see which of the 3 was exactly the highest, I just picked up all 3 (they don't drop as often compared to the level 40 bases) and looked for good rolls. @Chill Bro Either way, the correct way to calculate average damage is adding the bottom end to the top end then dividing by two.

i know right. Rage generation is not working. I can clear all 3lvls with ease and then the final boss regenrates HP faster then i can kill him, whats up with that. Also my gold keeps resetting everytime i log in. Its just tp frustrating and not rewarding enough

Rly nice guide, now i have to know the last pieces which i didnt knowed until know ;). Yeah i feel the fucking bug. I had a Dagger with Material/Rend-dmg and Critchance, get a critstone in it and got 5% leech from poison. But its fine i made it legendary (had max rolls on 187) and got 2xmaterialdmg and %material-dmg all max roll including the regular dmg on it, just a OP-Weapon now. I was rly lucky ^^. But now i hold this 6. affix open to make sure to get crit or perfect skill on it.

What are Craft-only suffixes in the WolcenDB, as opposed to the magic prefixes that you seem to get while using the gems? Also, although the system may be close to what is in PoE, some of your viewers may have not played PoE or didn't play it in a while, so I would not use PoE terms in your Wolcen videos, it makes stuff more confusing than it already is. Just my 2 cents.

And if we pick a gem (say green) you get 2 possibilities for a total 100% probability on the magic prefixes; and another set of 2 for 100% and 0%(?) for craft-only. Sorry if I'm being slow :-p

Sarisel refers to Genesis Stone / Untainted affixes, they'll only drop from Untainted missions and only appear while crafting if you use Genesis Stones.

This depresses me so uncontrollably to know that this game is ruined like all others before it. I have been happy in my ignorance just enjoying the drops and the progression for what it is knowing that POE is dead as is Diablo 3 because they all came down to min maxers screwing the game over by proving that unless you are using these offline resources to make the absolute perfect item, you're wasting your time on the game. Now I don't know if I can go back and play Wolcen knowing that most everyone else in the game is all doing this sort of nonsense as it'll constantly be in the back of my mind that at the end of the day, this game has been cracked and has zero mystery or joys of discovery whatsoever to it just like any other.

I wanted to make a video about making strong legendaries from the ground up, which means you have to start with the foundation (what basetypes to even craft). It's definitely not the smoothest/cleanest video I've ever made but talking about basetypes is unavoidable. And if there are certain mods that are relevant to ALL builds (i.e. rage/willpower cost reduc) then that's highly relevant and not build-specific.

Calling this clusterfck a crafting must be a joke. Too much rng to hope anything good out of any of it unless you plan to grind 24/7. Just trying to get 3 same type of sockets on an item is pain in the ass. Rerolling stats is sompletely useless. Even if you manage to get hundreds of these reroll items, rng is just like a lottery jackpot. Even if you would have unlimited ammount of reroll items you would give up before you would ever get all perfect stats on an item.
