Please ignore the haters and take your time to develop this game slowly and properly. The game is absolutely AMAZING atm, but anything can always be improved, and I would rather see a ton of more work and a lot more effort put into this game and wait longer, than to get rushed half-finished content. Can't wait to get more Q&A videos like this and more gameplay footage etc! Keep up the good work! =)

Great job so far Wolcen team! I just bought 2 copies for Christmas to support the development of this gem in the rough. Even though I still play D3 & PoE (+ most other arpgs like D1/2, GD, TQ, MH, VH, VV, etc), I must say I haven't felt this excited & optimistic about an arpg for a very long time. Keep up the great work & fingers crossed for a 2019 release!

That crafting system looks amazing, never seen anything even close to that. I hope it actually augments the look of your weapon while your character uses the weapon also, that'd be great... gonna add SO MANY spikes to my weapons it's not even funny

I've launched so much at this game that after i spent my budget on the games this month i had to additional buy it. Regarding to question no.9. Multiplayer raids or clan events would make this title "The Game changer" which i think already is, in some kind of way at least. There are many competitors for tittle of best ARPG all time. Next two years would be really interesting. Can't wait for next info's about the game, wish you all the best guys !

This is great. Keep 'em coming. It would be ideal if you could have, from now on - at least once/twice a month - a series where you share core development updates / milestones with the community: sharing videos and interacting with Q&A etc. The more vocal you keep the better, specially for the game's marketing. Keep in mind Wolcen is in a great momentum RIGHT NOW (D3 is basically 'dead', D4 is years ahead, PoE is already in a good position, but they will take a larger market share after their massive graphical overhaul, Lost Ark still deciding when to launch in US/EUR, Torchlight F. is also planning how to monetize the game and GrimDawn/ChaosBane won't be able to compete with the big aRPG names imo). I'm an old supporter for this game and I feel this has the potential to be the next big thing in the aRPG world. Just speed up your Beta release and keep improving upon it. Wish you the best!

I like the fact that you are still planning and not revealing everything, even if "maybe" it's ready. I like so much that you are admitting that you are elaborating and adapting things and not everything is explainable at the moment. There are 3 thing that i would highlight, 3 things that in these years emerged as foundamental in the longevity of a game: -Story: we all know that games with a story live long. Warcraft, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear....in the ARPG only Diablo did great....till now. So i would really underline the importance to maybe even charm and hire a good or great writer. Dream Big! Think about books, audiobooks, Movies, cartoons, gadgets, and all the stuff around a great titile, around a great story. - Crafting. Actually does not exist a game with a great crafing, where you really have to mine, cut and salvage for the resources. Only PoE comes near a good system but is still no near comparable to Ultima Online (as an instance). Make a great crafting, where you have to earn recipes, find secret places for some great ingredients, and where mixing things in the right sequence may let you have even legendaries or Unique. Something powerful obtained only through crafting and comparable with the best loot around -Trading. Actually only PoE has a great trading system. My simple suggestion is to copy or adapt it. The trading u have in mind is the same of D3, and it is what concoured to kill the game since the beginning (not even considering Real Money AH). And last but not the least us. Consider us. Ofc you dont have to listen to us on everything and realise everything we ask. It is impossible, but stay with ur comunity, make this game together, build a solid fan base, discuss with us and dont fear to banish those that are excessively rude or disrespectful with you, your work and with other players. Build a healty community of players and with them play together to you game. Play your game....always. If you don't or get bored to....we will follow....

While I love this game and wish to see it raise to the top, I didn't quite like how the questions for this video were gathered. As far as I'm aware folks in discord were given a choice to vote for what questions will be answered among multiple questions that were given by the devs (as far as I know, wasn't around for a while). Basically devs created handpicked questions that then the community handpicked for this video. This should have been made a live stream and then put up as a video later on. Still, some decent info out of it all.

The greatest thing about diablo 2 was trading. It had it's own economy that added an extra element to the game. Trading something small into something good over time was very rewarding and satisfying.

Beyond beta release date, the biggest thing I want to hear is guild implementation. I've played every major ARPG since UO, and guilds are a mainstay. I hope that it becomes fully implemented shortly after beta as rando matchmaking only would make for some real sadness. Aside from that, I'm still patiently waiting and ever hopeful.

Additionally, custom crafting has yet to be done correctly...you guys have already done such a excellent job of allowing the player to play the toon the way the player wants...not pigeon hole to a class or item.... A crafting system should allow players to build a staff or other weapon or armor with stats and unique enhancements to improve a skill or make up for deficiency in other areas. A robust /unique customization crafting system will add a ton of depth to this game and the community with love you for it..... RNG crafting is an abomination of the mind that has helped kill the ARPG community

Path of Exile is extremely well implemeted in the Hack'n Slash market right now and still getting better so it will be difficult to acquire a lot of players from it in my opinion, but it's not the same story for Diablo players :). Wolcen looks very good i'm hyped ! Great video otherwise, ty for these answers.

Trading with players outside of the group -> you don't want to affect the game purpose. Oke that is understandable, but games economy ? How can you affect the economy of the game when it wont even exist, if there isn't trading outside the group ?

The whole Diablo 2 economy was based on item trading. It's hard problem to tackle, it could go right but also horribly wrong I guess. We'll just have to wait and see :).

@@Nostromo2144 Wow bro. I see you here! Anyhow, you should care. Because once trading across groups is allowed, players can have access to build defining gears without actually farming for them. Then the game has to balance towards that and making the rest of the players who do not trade vastly disadvantaged. That is also the reason why I have stopped playing Path of Exile. It is more fun to go out and hunt for gears instead of farming for valuable loots for trading as currencies. I am against trading outside the current group.

I don't care or rather don't mind how they manage the online economy as it generally doesn't affect us directly, so long as it's not a complete fubar/snafu like the RMAH was at D3 release. Really didn't enjoy being forced to play the AH rather than the actual game. GW2 is a good example of a TP (not AH) done properly imo.

@@WilfridWong But. you can get everything in PoE by yourself??? I'm not sure when the last time you played PoE was, but pretty much everything is obtainable through means of cards/chancing and self crafting. Crafting is actually pretty op atm. You should give it a try. Solo self found has become a thing recently, and it's so easy to get your build fleshed out that Solo self found HC players are almost beating Trade league players on the ladder race to 100. Of course they probably never will, and probably shouldn't. But it goes to show how great it is nowadays if you have the knowledge to obtain it. I play on the trade league myself, just cause I like the convenience. But I still play mostly self found and rarely trade myself. Unless I really want too. Of course I still sell items for currency, just rarely buy.

@@nemure I know that😉😉 Just making a valid comparison, and looking at games like Fallout 76, Battlefield five and battle for Azeroth, the absolute garbage they turned out I feel more hopeful this will be decent. As a much smaller company in comparison they will work much harder since they have much to prove as a relatively new contender, and they will need to prove their game is worthy of our time and money. I'm hoping this will renew our faith, and since I quit after the BFA debacle I'm looking for a game to invest time in while I dust off my Xbox one. Fingers crossed this will be a great game 🤗🤗
