Anyone else keep looking at this AMV and going "I know what Vox Machina is. It's this." but your brain kept going "When did they make more Batman the Animated series or Gargoyles?" Seriously the style is very pleasantly that 90's 'america-anime' style that as just beginning to pop around that time. Warms my heart to see it again! Might have to check it out even though I LOATHE giving Prime money since it's not very stable on my old smart TV.

The guy who worked on character design for young Justice and a lot of other DC shows worked on this too, and I love how well that superhero style still works with a fantasy show like this

@@agentundercover that explains why i love the character design and animation style so much. i never could get into the original playshow because of the sheer backlog of episodes, and for whatever reason, i assumed that the animated series being kickstarted meant it would be of dubious quality, but boy was i wrong (and glad to be wrong). the animation and dynamic fight scenes totally blew away expectations. every episode felt like i was watching a high production value DC animated special.

I like how we're shown it as a physical object, with him pulling it from his pocket and seeing it sit in his room, but as the show goes on it becomes apparent that it attaches to his face when Orthax has hold of him.

This entire video is amazing but for me the best part is when the song says "burn in hell" idk why but it's just so perfectly timed and suits that scene perfectly I loved this vid so much I've spent hours trying to find it because I forgot the song

I don't know enough about the actual campaign lore but I'm pretty sure the demon is just pure evil. Would be a cool fanfic tho!

@@citsune1322 Yeaaahhh, Orthax (his shadow demon) is PURE evil. Its goal is to manipulate whoever its "host" basically feeding it souls of those he's killed. its why during the later stages of his corruption Percy gets physically angry when he doesn't get the final blow on someone who's on his list. Long story short: Demons don't have your best interest in mind

Orthax is not gone, he just vanished, also some of orthax's influence never left Percy in the campaign, so he'll still be kinda edgy for the rest of the show
