@@pallasbertelsen6585 one of the oldest and most recognizable images of a “wolf in sheep’s clothing, is a wolf wearing the dead sheep on top of it. While many people may think of the phrase as an outsider trying to fit in, the tone of the phrase usually is used to imply insidious behavior or one attempting to infiltrate a community. In this case, it’s insidious nature is the concept, and I would suspect the heads on the walls are trophies of past victims, weather metaphorically or literally.
@therealaji11 ай бұрын
i'm guessing that the more heads there are, the more experience he gets with acting like the age he's trying to present as, making it easier for him to connect with his victims! for example his current mask could've been a 17 year old sheep, and he's slowly targeting younger sheep as he moves along.

I'm not trying to put the blame on the minor, because they were deceived and the 'wolf' is the person who chose to hurt them, but that simple thing was obvious to me as long as I could remember. It's insane to me that one would be so scared of hurting one they actually really dont have any connection with other than through text, that they comply with something that actually makes them uncomfortable. That being said though, that 'common sense' needs to be said more often to these teens so that even those who are essentially 'people pleasers', learn that it is not only okay to say no, but also a necessity. It's Gen Alpha I'm worried about, because internet safety nowadays requires you to be a bit tech savvy, and most of them are 13 year olds and under. It's a lot to explain and to watch out for, there's been so many new scams and tactics we know to watch out for them automatically, we can smell them out, but the new generation hasn't developed the sense for it yet and it's all a bit complicated.

Something I noticed is that the wolf is, from the very start, always changing the topic of the conversation, never willing to focus on one thing. The lamb mentions homework? Subject is changed to age. The wolf lies about the birthday? Immediately moves on to hobbies. Some people would be willing to ask about the other person’s homework, just about everyone would be willing to talk about their own birthday, but the thing is that none of this contributes to the wolf’s end goal. You see, the wolf is hungry, the wolf is impatient; it wants to sink its teeth into its prey as fast as possible, and so it darts down every avenue of the lamb’s mind, finding anything to latch onto, anything it can use as a lure, as bait. When the lamb says she can’t get a certain game, the wolf knows it has her, hook, line, and sinker, and so it latches on to that, makes sure that the subject won’t be changed. This isn’t a conversation, no; this is a hunt. As someone who was used in this way before, though I’m blessed to not have been lured into a predator’s home, this is hauntingly accurate. The visuals, the music, and the dialogue all come together to create the perfect portrayal of these monsters.

Something that actually happens everywhere in the world, almost at any given moment, and anyone we know can be a victim of it. It serves as a good reminder. The ending can be interpreted multiple ways. These were the most obvious in my opinion: 1. The sheep heads symbolize different personas that the wolf can adopt depending on the victim, demonstrating its cunning and ability to manipulate. 2. The heads represent the wolf's past victims. To the wolf, no sheep is special, just another victim with no dignity or identity, that's why the heads look identical.

I love so many details about this but i think my favorites are the wolf changing the age, the kicking feet of the sheep, and how the wolf says "i saw your profile" teaching how much dangerous information we share without even realizing, like your address/ the school you go to/ etc
@Saboteur411 ай бұрын
I love how the wolf uses punctuation while the sheep generally doesn't. Really shows the age difference between the two. Apparently everyone started using proper punctuation when they were a 4 months old. And are all very smart, very special individuals.

It still feels very off how someone would fall for this though.. I just can't get my head around why someone would fall for something this obvious
@likeapro424211 ай бұрын
@@zillva it’s a mixture of “that wouldn’t happen to me” and the fact that the “wolf” is practiced in this methodology of targeting young “sheep”. If a kid has the city they live in in their profile, it proves they’re more open about information. Plus younger “sheep” are prone to optimism, especially when they’ve been sheltered from a bunch of very harsh realities. I was one of those “sheep” once upon a time. I’m just lucky that most of my online interactions were on KZbin comments instead of forms and other forms of social media when I was younger and more naive
@zillva11 ай бұрын
@@likeapro4242 I guess the same applies to me as well? Most of my interactions 2 years ago were either in youtube comments, or on discord where I pretty much refused to join public servers, and I honestly still do. I feel like I could never meet up with someone after talking with them for just a while. It took years to build up enough trust for me to actually meet with some of my few online friends, which is why the whole scenario feels unrealistic to me.. I don't understand not waiting at least a few years before meeting up ig?
@goshogosho833111 ай бұрын
@@zillva It’s just a short video that represents the whole vast world of online manipulation. Some predators could be dedicated enough to chat with their victims for longer periods of time in order to be “more trustworthy”. On top of all that children are very malleable which makes them easy targets so the video surely isn’t an unrealistic representation of reality.

Everything about this is so well made. The introduction, the part where the wolf changes the sentence to sound more young, the way the lamb stopped replying when it got seemingly uncomfortable… it’s all so thought out.
@Ditto.00711 ай бұрын
Agreed, the part where the lamb stops replying was the most interesting imo since you can tell the wolf knows he may be losing a victim so starts to write and push on using games as a weapon to lure in the lamb

I don't get what this is meant to represent. The wolf is a predator all right. But what kind? Did he murder the lamb? Is it literal? Does he really behead his victims and then dons on their flesh? Is it meant to represent a sexual predator? Does he abuse and assault them? Are the beheaded lamb heads meant to represent the lost innocence? What is it?

I like how they each had their own typing style. The real sheep was very light hearted, and not grammar heavy. However as is common with older people, the wolfs writing strictly included punctuation, and came across as a bit too formal/ almost angry. Just a cool detail that shows that you/the creator know what they are doing

Something not many people notice is also the way punctuation is constantly used by the wolf, when the sheep doesn’t. Its small, but I think it shows more than just that the wolf is older. I think it gives an unsettling feeling from the Sheeps prospective as you go between each text. Its hard to see the innocence and happiness through serious periods at the end of every line. It adds a level of unknowing to his intentions. Worst of all it just overall feels intimidating especially with the line,”Come to my house.” Theres no maybe or if to that sentence, it isnt an invitation, its a full statement. Really amazing

I don't really like the idea that using punctuation in casual conversation makes you look weird. It's a habit I've had all throughout my time online, even when I first logged into Miiverse at 13. Everyone has different texting habits. Though, I do agree with you on how this wolf talks, it's barely friendly and somewhat demanding.
@M.Datura8 ай бұрын
It does indeed set the tone. Personally I've always put a lot of effort into good grammar and punctuation, to avoid misunderstandings, especially in short format written communication, but it can definitely have the effect of making someone seem more mature. If this had been much longer, which predation usually takes place over as far as I'm aware, the subtle change in writing, the way that someone would become influenced by someone else, is also a thing that people do; a way to work slowly getting used to mimicing the other's style of writing into the identity they present: often presented as someone coming out of their shell. Good point with the "Come to my house." I think one of the strongest tell-tale signs of similar conversations is often the fact that one party shows much more confidence, even though attemptively hidden. At 17, people are usually not so certain of themselves, and the phrasing of "But I don't have anyone to play with." is separated, drawing attention to it. A teen that is directly honest about having no one to share their interests with is not something I've ever met. There is an overarching confidence, that the punctuation underlines. I wish it was this clear in real life.
