We were trying to make a film about karmic actions in people's day to day life and how a change of direction can make a huge difference to the lives of others. As human beings it is all about the choices we make every day in every moment. And that's not always so easy !! Thanks again.

amazing. i am actually impressed by the quality of the visuals of the film considering it was shot a long time ago. i guess it was shot around 7-8 years back. because i know the kids playing the characters . they are quite grown up now. and i liked the concept too. A story along with the real life wolf incidences. I also liked how the film shows the changes and its effect of technology or change of time as we may say. one could easily guess that this film is directed and shot by a foreigner. I appreciate your work sir.

Thanks for your kind words. The film was shot in October 2008 in three weeks. The idea was to create a simple story with many levels. We are sharing it now on You Tube as Ladakhi audience can access the film more easily because of improved Internet and smart phone usage. 97% of the views for the film are in India and under 30. When the film was made this was not possible. I made the film out of love for Ladakh which I first visited in 1987 as a young man. I'm still in touch with Mingyur and Jigmet who are now grown men!!!

Thanks for your comment. I am glad you liked the film. We had a basic script/story idea but no dialogue written down. All the words in the film were improvised on the spot. We had a small camera and some basic sound kit. I really wanted to share the film with Ladakhspa but only now has it been possible with better mobile connection and growing use of smart phones. 97% of the views are in India and I imagine a very high percentage in Ladakh and students outside Ladakh. I have received some very interesting comments and feedback on the film so far and welcome any insights people may have. Very much interested how this film is received as it was an experiment in improvised drama working with non-professional actors with very limited amounts of equipment ( one small camcorder )

Hi Mengur Ley. Good to hear from you. It is unlikely that I will be able to return to Ladakh anytime soon nowadays. With Coronavirus spreading throughout the world it makes international travel very difficult. Perhaps we will meet again one day - I cannot say. Give my regards to your family and the village. If you are not happy with the film being on the internet I would respect your wishes and remove it. Let me know. It would be a shame as your performance as a young actor was outstanding and those of others very memorable. Take care.
