I used to listen to this song all the time as a teenager. So nostalgic 💕

Oh man, I listened the hello out of this cd in 2004. This one, arcade fires funeral and animal collectives sung tongs. Previous to that year I pretty much only listened to classical music or punk rock from before 1985.

Same, so many great albums from that Era. Stephen malkmus, strokes, interpol, land of talk, built to spill, modest mouse, the stills, bright eyes, death cab, radiohead, postal service, also recently rediscovered at the drive in. Man so much talent at that time. Loved animal collective too. Too many to name. Saw most of them live multiple times. Arcade fire covered wolf parade at at osheaga too in 2014. I want to go back!

Great take! I'd venture to say it beats the album version in terms of raw instrumental power. Spencer's gotten more pensive and croony which is nice but different. It's harder to imagine this singer smashing someone's head or whatever. Harder to imagine, but worth the exercise.
