Wolfe Ridge 22 RS With Single Wedge‼️

In this video I use the Wolfe Ridge 22 RS with the single wedge to split up some big Butternut Hickory rounds. I was pleasantly surprised how nice this hickory is splitting down. Go check out Steve's channel @upinsmokefirewood he has some great content!

There we go Jeremiah, use that lever to just pop the wood so it'll split - no need for the ram to go all the way out each time. Great demonstration of how a single wedge is useful on certain types of splitting - when you want to split naked pieces. Love it!! Keep cuttin' Buddy!

Nice splits. Fir bark comes off at times in sheets like that. Most of the time, i remove it as it's like 2 inches thick. It definitely burns great in the firepit, and nothing left but fine powder of ash. Happy Father's day to you and your family 😉 👍

I’m the opposite of you, I use the single wedge 98-99% of the time and the 4-way 1-2%. Probably have 20% less scrap/kindling by doing it that way. Plus I like being able to control the size/shape of the pieces

All that moisture in those trees is why thy go bad fast standing. Most of the time by the time you figure out that they are bad a good part of the tree is rotting garbage. If you find one dead use cause it could fall any moment.
