Summer of 2021 I was looking for a 28 pro. The dealer in PA said it would be a few months backordered. He then called me later to let me know a 28C was available as the customer canceled their order. I jumped on it and I'm so glad I did. Autocycle alone is worth the upgrade!

Great video Bob, comparing the two gives people a clear view of what the differences between the machines are. And like you said adding the options to the 28 Pro will get you close to the 28 C price. Keep up the awesome work up!

I was going to get the 28 pro but after talking with Ben I decided the 28c was the better option. Im glad I got the 28c. It’s been an awesome machine. Once you add electric start and auto cycle to the pro like i wanted you’re within 2k of the 28c which comes with all that stuff standard plus the bigger engine, bigger pump l, magnum big bore package, and bigger hydraulic tank. 6.5 second cycle time vs 10.5 is a world of difference. But if you’re on a tight budget, or just a homeowner wanting to speed up the time it takes to process wood and save your back, the 28 pro is a great option.

@BacktoBob1 I picked up a used 28Pro at the firewood frenzy 2 years ago. Have a out 400 hours on it. Little concerned about the cycle time as it is now my bottle neck. Not sure if I could have a bad pump. Thoughts on a trade difference in $. Take care.

I have the 28Pro C. Good machine, my only comments for improvements - go back to the standard 2" hitch instead of the pin style. That small retaining wire cable is bound to break over time causing loss of the pin and cotter and its not as easy as just throwing a lever down like a standard hitch. Also, that newer style cartridge filter is pretty difficult to find a replacement out there. Very few options that I could find.

I've had both, my 28pro was pre-covid built very solid machine. I had 300 plus hours and no problems with it. I traded it in June of 22 for the 28c and with in few months the hydraulic pump started leaking. The cycle time was way off, much slower. I contacted w.r. and they did send out a new pump at no charge. Ok, fixed that problem. On October 23, at 150 hours the log lift cylinder starts leaking. Contacted w.r. , their response was 'sorry out of warranty' they said 'we can sell you one' but with i declined. I took it to local shop and had it resealed for $75. The technician told me that it was a cheap cylinder (china). So now, my push cylinder started leaking recently at 168 hours. For the cost of the machine i am very disappointed! A cylinder should last longer than a couple hundred hours. I guess buyers beware...

Explain to me why the compact has more features and options than a “pro” version. That seems awfully backwards
@WolfeRidge8 күн бұрын
The Compact Commercial came after the Pro. At first it was called the Pro 28C but that caused confusion between the 28 Pro. So we just started calling it the Compact Commercial.
