The plants getting released after the Penny's Pursuit and Battlez update are just absolutely broken. Those plants should be used exclusively in the Penny's Pursuit levels since the zombies are broken there as well.

@@magnej1520 Certain premium plants now need seed packets despite not being the best. Blooming heart was added in 2016 i believe and you now need seed packets for it. Pretty much any seed packet plants that appear after modern day plants in the almanac are overpowered

On the current Penny's Pursuit event you can get seeds to unlock Pea Vine, which is one of the most BROKEN plants in the entire game. You might remember him from the Mega Gatling Pea video where you read that he boosts Appeas-mint plants ( the ones with the peashooter symbol at the top left of their seed packet ) planted on top of him. He multiplies the damage of Appeas-mint plants by 1.5, which may not seem like much, but when combined with Torchwood ( who's an Appeas-mint plant if you didn't know ) he deals 90 damage per pea, and that's not mentioning the other combinations that he has.

Especially in combination with Appease Mint. Pea vine's multipication is x4. Mega gatling pea/pea vine + torchwood/pea vine and appease mint. Depending on plant level, a single pea can deal up to 1900 damage!! It's insane but necessary for Penny's pursuit and Arena.

The funny thing is that heath seeker can clear a whole wave at the same sun price, thus being even more broken lmao. EA/Popcap literally sat down and said: _Yeah this is fine._ ... ...Meanwhile in the PVZ3 department: _We obviously can't let them choose their plants or let them have anything too overpowered! No freedom in this game._

2:52 thats sweet potato, she's basically a reverse garlic, she's a defensive plant like wall-nut, except she draws zombies to her lane, assuming they're close enough, anyway 4:30 thats solar tomato, she (yes, she) she's basically a stun grenade, she explodes in a 3x3 area similar to cherry bomb, except instead of dealing damage, her explosion will stun all the zombies caught in her explosion, and to top it all off, she will give you 50 sun for each zombie she stuns, meaning she can be very very useful for stalling a large wave, plus giving you a shitton of sun so you can reinforce your defenses easier 8:28 not exactly, Apple Mortar's thing is that he has 3 lane range, like 3 peater, also his projectiles very shortly stun whatever he hits, meaning that if you get enough of them down, youll be able to stall large waves very easily

Wolfy, I have recently gone over your tier list videos for all games you have done. I thought it would be interesting for you to do a tier list for both PvZ 1 and PvZ 2 for all the plants. Regarding that defensive plant you mentioned, it's Sweet Potato. Can be bought with gems but are among of the event plants. Which means you cannot get it until it is being offered during certain events. In this case, she is usually available during Thanksgiving Events. Her gimmick is to attract zombies from adjacent lanes towards it. I was there when she was introduced and she was extremely expensive fo a defensive plant, 300 sun. Nowadays, she is half that price.

Wolfy the breaking of the game started with Chomper’s return then came Homing Thistle, Hurikale, Fire Pea, Lava Guava, Toadstool, Cactus, Electric Bluberry, Grape Shot, Cold Snapdragon, Shrinking Violet, and Escape Root. After the last world new plants were still being and were even more crazy like Wasabi Whip or Gold Bloom. There’s also the limited- time event plants , like Ghost Pepper, Sweet Potato, and Hot Date.

Actually gold bloom was an epic quest plant it came out way before it became premium same for Sweet potato and Ghost pepper those came out in the big wave beach update as event plants for the holidays this is a bit hit or miss what your saying

Random note, I’ve been coming up with my own plant idea which I’ve mostly fleshed out (still working on some art for it for the mainline PvZ games and the Heroes stuff) and I want to know what you think. The plant is called Aspearagus and it works like a Bonk Choy that attacks forward 2 lanes and hits every zombie in range. When it kills a zombie it then flings the head like a -pult plant and the damage is based on the zombie killed (I.E. imps do less than basic zombies, the more special ones like Octo Dad do more than basic zombies and Garg heads do more and splash in a 3x3 space around where it lands. It’s Plant Food effect would be like Bonk Choy as well, but in a 3 tall 2 wide area in front of it. It also can block any sort of projectile for itself and plants behind it (these are things like the snowballs from the ice world, Octo Dad’s kids, etc. but not things like the Disco Garg shockwave)

3:55 these plants are zoybean: as you noticed, they form zombies xd (such a little poor "zombotany"), these zombies are made of tofu, the higher the lvl of this plant, the more armor the zombie has, e.g. later the zombie has a carrot on its head (a plant equivalent of zombies with cone), then with a melon on his head (the equivalent of a zombie with a bucket) And you see: Pawer up is gargantuar with rhubarb 🙂

I’m probably really late on this but...from how many times I used him, Rhubarbarian can insta-kill almost anything that isn’t stationary like King Zombies, Cannon Zombies, and Fisherman Zombie (minus Gargantuars), though because he’s an instant use plant, he can survive Gargantuar smashes indefinitely until his duration runs out or he gets smashed by a King Zombie.

I was playing the day of release, the premium plants you actually wanted but if it was a fight you wouldn’t win with them automatically, the best two plants were super fair, you had jalapeño, squash, snow pea and torchwood, then the two most overpowered of the two comparative to the skill needed, imitater and power Lily, power Lily requiring 175 and imitater having a slow set up

I still own the first version of this game on my dad's crusty old-ass ipad! It's great actually and arguably a better game even with less content because it's simpler and doesn't cram all sorts of bizarre premium plants down your throat. Fun fact: I permanently keep that ipad on airplane mode just to secure that version of PvZ2. Also, I really miss the world maps and the old music from that version of the game. Also, I think it might be impossible for me to find the Yetti Zombie in that game…

@@Flort-ifcations Pretty Much 10% of plants are behind paywalll and the others are unlockable through grinding. Popcap probably make Real Money plants to Unlockable Seed Packets. If you don't want ads, turn off the internet. In Arena or Penny Pursuit ads are not that often. You said that you don't play PvZ 2 is like you never played it at all. And also don't assume something just because you see it in a video. Play PvZ2 and then form an opinion, because that's what makes your opinion valid.

All of the newer premium plants have a pretty evil design. They are technically ftp meaning people don't have much reason to complain, but are realistically impossible to get without paying. Also, great video as always. Edit: Maybe I exaggerated how hard it is to get them, 250 seed packets isn't too hard. I still feel that it's not too fun and just grindy, especially when you could just pay 10$ and get them instantly.

I actually managed to glitch a piñata party into being infinitely replayable early on in it’s release, so I was able to just grind the piñata party for about 30 minutes to get it immediately for free

Here's some wisdom that bears repeating: Primal Pea has an odd but powerful quirk. If you use a blover on a zombie when they get hit with the primal's knockback effect, it will actually blow away the zombie and KILL IT. It isn't 100% reliable and it is fairly pricy, but it is certainly a strategy to consider.

Honestly this game has the worst endgame. You beat story then have absolutely nothing to do but arenas and the first 2 levels in pp until you pay money or spend ages grinding for seediums. This game is honestly embarrassing.
