When they wanted to bring back Gatling Pea, a lot of people said that it wouldn't be that good in comparison to other plants, like how Bonk Choy has been outclassed like 5 times over, and that all it would be doing is adding another plant from the first game, like how if Cattail got brought back it would be worthless because it would be BWB only and Homing Thistle does the same thing. *Popcap made absolutely sure that Gatling Pea wouldn't get outclassed*

The mega Gatling pea event starts in a few days when the current one ends, where you can get tons of seeds for it but you have to GRIND that arena mode. Also the piñata parties and carnival piñatas will contain mega Gatling pea seeds.

Well each win gives 5 crowns and you need 300 to fully unlock it but it’s likely he’ll have enough to get it to lvl 2 by that point from previous pvp rewards and to get 300 crowns you only need 60 wins which isn’t too bad considering it lasts a month

You either unlock Mega Gatling Pea by buying it in the store right now in a bundle, or wait for the next online tournament to start in a little less than a week. It will last for a month and you will be able to eventually unlock Mega Gatling Pea if you win enough matches (this is how I’m personally planning to unlock it), either way you have to collect seed packets in order to unlock it (like torchwood). Just so you know, Pea Vine is one the most busted plants in the game, as in top 3. It multiplies the damage of peas (or any straight shooting non elemental projectile like Bowling Bulb) and also affects the multiplier of Torchwood. That means peas will get multiplied by the Pea Vine on the peashooting plant and the Pea Vine on the Torchwood, making them do stupid amounts of damage. Literally push button to win. (Although there is more setup than Pokra)

Gatling pea is gonna be in the next arena season, starting in 5ish days. It's definitely going to be top tier since pea vine torchwood threepeater is already one of the best setups in the game Pea vine boosts appease mint plants' damage by 1.5 times, including increasing the damage buff from torchwood if placed on one. At high level or with appease mint's buff going, its boost increases to 4x, so if you have a vine on a peashooter and a boosted torchwood, it will boost the power of a single pea by about 48x if I'm not mistaken, which including the already large buff from appease mint means each pea is doing about *8 thousand damage* (8160 from a level 1 peashooter with 20 attack)

You should really look into the whole plant family-ordeal. Pea Vine boosts ALL plants within the Appease-mint family, which is the green peashooter-symbol at the top left of each Appease-mint seed pocket. So not only does it buff the Gatling Pea, it also buffs plants like Bowling Bulb. By putting him over a Torchwood (An Appease-mint plant), the Pea Vine instantly gets the fire bonus from it.

You can either buy an early pass of a plant when a new one comes out or you can unlock it slowly but surely in the arena and reach milestones to get the plant for free, they also offer gem packs of it that increase each time you buy one, so what I normally do is a mix of the arena and gem packs, I'm really looking forward to getting this plant

On a note for another peashooter, Primal Pea has a odd but powerful quirk. If you use a blover on a zombie when they get hit with the primal's knockback effect, it actually blow away the zombie an KILL IT. It is 100% reliable and it is pretty pricy, but it is certainly a strategy to consider... If you find this comment that is.

The mega gatling pea is a seed packet plant. So it'll be available in arena mode and you have a month to get it for free, or you'll have to wait until another pea-type/appease mint plant gets released for it to be available on penny's pursuit (probably next year) So, when it comes out, Start grinding for it (you might even unlock more seed packet plants on penny's pursuit, I've heard that Pea-vine will be in there) Also:the random plant food chance is 1% (level 1 and 2)

To get plants such as Mega Gatling Pea, you need to play on the Arena and get a total of 300 trophies, or get enought seeds to unlock it (some of these can also be unlocked by playing the arena). Right now, however, is not avaiable, but it will probably will in 1 or 2 tournaments. You also have a lot of gems. You might be able to get it by using all of them, or at least unlock him earlier by playing the arena. And another thing: Pea Vine boost every single Pea that is planted on it. Not only Mega Gatling Pea. In fact, Pea Vine can be planted on Torchwood and all of his peas will also burn. (Please like this comment just to make wolfy see this).

All new plants can be unlocked by grinding Arena mode; Mega Gatling Pea's season will be coming up after Rhubarbarian's is over. I've managed to get Pumpkin, Puffball and Rhubarbarian that way; the only reason I don't have the others is because I didn't play PvZ2 during those times. I'm super hyped to unlock Mega Gatling Pea as well! Also, the deal with the Power Mints is that almost all plants belong to a plant family (the little symbol on their seed packet) that represents something they have in common. For example, Appease-mint plants are straight shooters, like Peashooters, but also Red Stinger, Starfruit, Bowling Bulb, Rotobaga and even Torchwood (since he buffs Peashooters). When you plant Power Mints, have some sort of effect (burning for Pepper-mint, chilling for Winter-mint, etc.) and temporarily buff all plants in their family until they disappear. I personally don't bring mints into levels, but it's a cool concept and I'm a sucker for classifying plants into different families.

To know which plant belongs to which mint family (such as appease-mint) look at the symbol in the top-left corner of their icon, you can see that torchwood is another appease-mint plant

Arena is a really good place to get the new plants. Alternately, Penny's Pursuit also has some of the "missed plants" from older Arenas. That said, be sure to do ALL the quests in the last tab that gets you "premium seeds" whenever available.

@@CrimsonReapa Rarely, but yes. If they do recycle, though, it is only 1/3 of the arena duration and you probably won't be able to unlock it with the rewards alone.

There's like a Mysterious Portal at the end of this game. I'm not saying it means we getting a new world but if we are please make it so that there's a simpler way to get Seedium Plants. That isn't PVP or Penny's Pusruit, it's either forced PVP or levels that are way too hard. Please PopCap, make it easier for the people with my skill level (next to none basically)
