I have many reasons to support your theory. 1 this is basically a year after 1945 so they still have the normal uniforms [with some tech involved] and majority of soldiers show their faces. This is Germany so the soldiers here ain't a occupying force so you can see some of their daily lives especially at the bar scene. Plus there ain't a lot of robots helping them compared in the new games

It's pretty funny how Blazkowicz keeps getting caught in rudimentary enemy traps or ambushes time after time in these games. I guess it's necessary for certain plot points, but sometimes I think a few of them could have been a bit more believable. He's an infiltrator himself and has killed dozens if not hundreds of enemies by sneaking behind their back, so getting caught like that is a bit sketchy.

Old Blood and New Order undoubtedly have the best stories. But I will say New Colossus has more fun factor as the older titles feel clunky control wise in comparison to New Colossus. Especially during gun fights controls can feel a little slow outside of that I absolutely love the 3 titles and I pretend Youngblood never happened

Great game! This is how Pro's play ie. go attack them. Being a long time Wolf3D player and seen through dozens of versions if not 100 since it came. Nowdays it's like watching a movie! I usually play just below the toughest level and usually spend quite some time exploring the place(love exploring hidden areas) and then tickle the enemies to come to me and then I kill them with leisure. They could have added some original Wolf3d music.

Thanks for the walkthrough, that part where you had to sneak past and power down those super soldiers was really frustrating for me, I'm probably just bad at stealth but it felt like they were so perfectly sychronized that you couldn't do anything to sneak past.

One of the things I can't help noticing is the jarring difference between the gameplay hero and the cut scene hero. In gameplay the hero is practically a divine angel of vengeance, chopping down hundreds of Nazis with brutal speed and efficiency. They shoot guns at him, doesn't matter. Grenades, doesn't matter, high-powered rifles, doesn't matter. He runs around, most of the time at 100% health, mowing them down like blades of grass, until a cutscene happens. Then suddenly he's human again, surrendering because someone has a gun to his head or captured and tied to a chair for torture. Then the cutscene ends and he is immediately back to being an unstoppable killing machine. Part of it is the skill of the player, of course, but a good portion of it is just poor alignment between player-controlled hero and game-controlled hero.

Maybe it's the age of the game, but this has some of the most atrocious AI I've ever seen in a game. Guards see you, shoot at you on site, but get out of their line of site for 10 seconds and they forget you ever existed, practically walking over the bodies of other guards without an ounce of suspicion. How in gods name can they explain why the allies were losing the war? One guy with a pipe can dismantle an entire base!

01:07:32 I'm stuck right here. I can attach the first part of the pipe to the wall, but I can't start the climb. Haven't had any climbing issues until this part. I completed the game before but this never happened when I first played it thru 6 years ago or so. I restarted the checkpoint. Maybe a level restart. I got soooooo frustrated with the final boss, playing on difficulty 4 out of 5 (don't remember how it was called) that I put it on the lowest difficulty just to continue the game, and after I beat him the game finished lol

the "4 out of 5" difficult is I am death incarnate, and yes it's tought but doable as long as you know what to do, on UBER however (hardest difficult) the final boss is a nightmare, I swear to god how I hate its hand attack, the only way I managed to beat him on UBER was spamming the grenade pistol or whatever is it called when his mouth was open then spam the dual assault rifles while he's stunned, way more challenging than the final boss of New Order for sure.
