The suspension at 13:55 creates a minor ninth chord (if analyzed horizontally), and there's another one at 14:05. Love Mozart for getting creative with stuff like that!
@pietrogrisoni60783 жыл бұрын
Yeah well, it's unlikely that he thought of those as minor ninths (the very concept of dominant chords with minor ninth didn't exist at the time) but those passages still sound interesting anyway.
@pietrogrisoni60783 жыл бұрын
@@MR-gz9lm Yeah I totally agree with that, I put it down wrong in my comment. What I meant is simply that (for the very reason that chords started as voice movement and not as separate harmonic entities) what we have here is still more like an "embellishment minor 9th" - as you said - than an actual minor 9th chord. Anyway, in both instances I'd personally read that "minor 9th" as a note harmonizing the passing note in the bass line and not as part of the dominant harmony, but that's just me.

Can anyone tell me? The original scores of Mozart, as of many of his genre must have consisted of sketches to include maybe 6 or so parts. Eventually these get transformed into the modern scores of exact precision to include sometimes 20 or so parts. How does this process occur? How does the final modern score creator able to claim direct, complete derivation from the composer such as Mozart? Or please provide me with a link.

Higher, especially on A and B flat clarinets. I haven't played an A clarinet but I'm assuming it's rather similar to B flat. I've played E flat and B flat. The higher notes are slightly easier to play on the E flat or D piccolo clarinets.

Thank you for replying. I do have a Bb Buffett Crampon Clarinet (Tradition model) and I do love this piece. I am a beginner for a Clarinet. Actually, I happened to find the Bb version for piano and clarinet. I think at this moment, this piece is too difficult if I have to play on a Clarinet. I agree, I can do it with Alto Sax.
@jeffreyhodes6 жыл бұрын
if you're playing it by yourself or with piano, you can just play the notes as written on Bb clarinet. It will sound a half step higher, but that's fine. On the other hand, if you want to play this with orchestra you will need an A clarinet for sure. Every good clarinet player needs an A clarinet, though.
