Wolfgang Gartner is an absolutely amazing producer. The counter melody stuff he incorporates into his music is immaculate, his sound design is innovative and fascinating, and the technical aspects of his production methodology are practically flawless. This guy is a producer's producer. He's the one we all look at and scratch our heads and ask, "How the hell is this guy so damn good?"

I love how he doesn’t stick to the cliche timing in the edits where elements repeat 4 times. He does a lot of 3 times instead of 4 in this track. I don’t have a good way to describe it but those who know what I mean ....well they know. It makes this track extra suprising, basicly...Gartner is the king of Complextro and this song is timeless!

This is one of the first 3 Complextro tracks I’ve ever heard. Deadmau5 - Ghosts and Stuff, Wolfgang Gartner- Firepower and Wolfgang Gartner - Undertaker.
@greedokenobi38555 жыл бұрын
Sergio Ruiz Well Complextro is a subgenre of Electro House. All Complextro is Electro House but not all Electro House is Complextro. If you don’t realise that Undertaker and Firepower are Complextro you might want to explore more about Complextro. These are the first ones I’ve heard but there were people before them like SebastiAn. Gartner didn’t like the term Complextro even though the person that made up the name (Porter Robinson) said that his music (Complextro at the time) was inspired by Wolfgang Gartner. To me (and many others) Gartner is the pioneer of Complextro.

genre: Wolfgang Gartner
@AlexGrtner10 жыл бұрын
I'm starting to think people are making the genre mistakes on purpose. Electro house ranges between 120-130 BPM generally not an absolute rule. Subgenres of electro house like dubstep and moombahton are considerably slower. Dubstep/Brostep Artists include: Benga, Skream, Skrillex, Modestep, Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, Nero. Moombahton is about 90-110 BPM, Dubstep/Brostep is between 80 and 115 BPM. Moombahton artists include: Baauer, RL Grime, Dillon Francis, Diplo, Skrillex. Complextro is characterised by quick instrument changes in a jarring/glitchy fashion. From a growl to a high pitched siren sound or whatever (complextro was coined by Porter Robinson). Artists include: Knife Party, Porter Robinson, Wolfgang Gartner, Skrillex. Then there's the new subgenre Melbourne Bounce or Bounce characterised by the wub bassline that occurs every 1/2 inbetween the kick drum and clap. Artists include: TJR, Will Sparks and The Chainsmokers. Electro house is a very vaguely defined genre so while its easy to recognise its DAMN hard to explain, I've done my best. (P.S there are MANY more types of electro house but I chose the ones relevant to this video.)
@sintoxin110 жыл бұрын

Right, where dubstep has changed so much over the years that a fast dubstep song isnt simply electro, and rap and hip hop sound close enough to me just one has more singing. but your example is too farfetched. I got what you meant, it just doesn't make sense.
@NostalgiCrazy6 жыл бұрын
I think I'd say the comparison is more like Soft Rock to Death Metal. They're both considered Rock, but completely different sounding. Dubstep and Electro/House are all Electronic, but completely different sounding. Rap and Hip Hop however are very closely intertwined at times.
