RETRO is the new black is a retro channel for retro enthusiasts. The channel features retro computers, game consoles and gadgets from the 1970, 1980 and 1990s as well as new tech for old machines. The videos range from simple unboxing to repairs and sometimes even the creation of new things.
I try to upload two videos a week (one smaller QUICK SHOT video and one longer main Video).

Hooray for the Commodore PC40-III using a Dallas (even though it refuses to boot off anything than 360k 5¼ inch disk when the Dallas goes due to the BIOS doing a reboot on save&exit) and having that Paradise (S)VGA card on board. And yeah I have Win3.1 on that machine on 800x600. The PC40 seems to be mechanically identical too. The LEDs are on the left though. All (2) of my Commodore PC PSUs work just fine.

While it was soldered in and required special tools to remove (which 20 years ago I didn't have - but my neighbor did), just look at what poor @Epictronics had to go through to get his PC-10 III back up and running again. (and even if not - depending on my level of lazyness or space inside the machine *cough* Laptops... I just drill the holes in the Dallas for hooking up external batteries without even removing it) At least a Dallas won't puke corrosive juice all over the board that eats traces, vias (especially in inconvenient places) and creeps inside ICs to slowly destroy them from the inside when powered up. Ask me how I know.

Nice job. I will be needing to do similar to a PSU in a Commodore PC-5. How many amps was your 12V DC power brick which you hosed in the PSU case? Would it be 8 amps or more?

The Commodore Colts have an Amiga 3000 case vibe. Did Commodore design cases in-house or contract another company to do them? Who gets credit for the case designs?
