I love and hate this scenario. On the one hand, I hate that it seems impossible. But on the other, games like these tend to be so easy for you that it seems like there's never really a risk besides your own mistakes (cue ramming the ocean floor alarms) but this scenario seems like a win is well earned and a mark of real skill~

Well done Wolfpack. You can't win them all. But this one was impossible to win anyway.

15:12 There is something undeniably WW2 about this entire scene here. The dive bombing of two merchant ships then pan over to the aircrafts flying over, getting targeted by flak. Feels like I'm watching War on the Sea here.

Wolfpack345, This was a really intriguing mission, and I LOVED the (very plausible, imo) alternate-history wrap-up at the end - I'd love to see more of this kind of thing in the future!

In the last hours of the war, the admiral snuck aboard the fleet's last Romeo. The inside of the submarine was crammed with sailors, their families, and others who paid a hefty sum to get aboard. Their destination: Taiwan. While most didn't possess any love for the Nationalist Chinese government, they decided it a better to take the chance at being granted asylum than face the Soviet secret police and any collaborationist Chinese soldiers looking to make a name for themselves in the new puppet government. Everyone hoped the rumors that the Americans were paying former PLA and PLAN officers good money to defect to the west were true. The last voyage of Romeo 846 was about to begin.

Nah, Soviets are about to basically enter Afghanistan but about dozens times bigger. China had zero gun control before 1989, intentionally, Mao deliberately distributed millions of decommissioned weapons. The Militia was 11 million strong with 3 million regulars. Also armed with nuclear weapons. The Soviets won’t advance past Manchuria. They won’t even have railway connection by then. China constructed artificial mountains south of Manchuria. Considering that Taiwan refused American urges to declare independence, and actually removed the blockade when PLAN went to fight a skirmish in South China Sea, they will support the mainland.

Love War on the Sea and your coverage of it! The game is still a bit bare bones for me to get onboard quite yet, but your dedication to giving it some life in series like this with the help of FinnishJager definitely have me hyped for when they finally release a dynamic campaign. So many moving parts with modern naval warfare, gonna be a lot here to dig into.

AWESOME surprise cameos at the end by Long Beach and Enterprise! With this series' end, any chance of a new "War on the Sea" Campaign? Possibly the Mediterranean campaign, or an IJN Indian Ocean campaign? (Can you play as the IJN in that campaign? I forget.)

Reminds me of the Star Trek "Kobayashi Maru" no-win scenario... you did just about as much as you could, considering how much the deck was stacked against you @Wolfpack. Outstanding use of that Romeo sub. That old slow noisy boat really did well. There's a silver lining in defeat at least. Liked it 👍

nice gameplay wolfpack, considering the odds is against you, with them having superior number of forces in air and in sea, you still able to infict as much damage as possible, and i believe, adding the tonnage of all those ships that romea sunk could be much more what your forces has lost. The SA-2 is really a heartbreaker, i believe it failed to hit any aircraft at all. If it does manage to hit even a couple of those Mig-17s im pretty well sure more supply ships will survice.
