Yes the cavities and high frequency assemblies are very similar to what you could find in a car radiotelephone from that era, I took a lot of them apart, when they were available cheap in fleamarkets. They're all gone now by the way. The weird parts with the color code must be capacitive passthroughs.

I noticed that. It’s always a gamble buying boxes like these, sometimes they are not as interesting or high quality as I would hope.
