#Wolgast

Wolgast is a city in northeastern Germany . Most of the city is west of the island of Usedom , a small part is on the island. It belongs to the district of Vorpommern-Greifswald and is the seat of the Am Peenestrom office , which includes six other municipalities. It is one of the 18 middle centers of the state of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania .
Because of its location, Wolgast is also known as the "gateway to the island of Usedom ", and the city is also known for its preserved historical center with many architectural monuments , the city harbor and the Peene shipyard
