Why did Australia send and sell the trees to UK? Why not the world? 😮 Come on. Where do I buy a wollemi tree or seeds? Can you shipping it to the USA and South America? Thanks

I collected the seeds of Wollemi Pine for the first time this fall. We plan to plant seeds next spring with reference to this wonderful video. There are about 2000 seeds, and since it is grown in Japan, which is hot and humid in the summer, I do not know if it can be cultivated well. We cannot grow a large number of Wollemi Pines in our small garden, so we think that if surplus seedlings grow, we can sell them only in Japan via the net. Please let me know if there are any legal issues.

The female pods usually take about 22 months to mature, from seeing the pea sized pod in October to crushing the ripe seed pod in late August (22 months later).

Wow I didn’t know that wollemi pines had cotyledons. There gymnosperms, 🧐🌲🌱 Great video

Hi, we use a good quality balanced slow release fertiliser, either that or a weekly feed with Miracle grow or Phostrogen is ok. I think leaving it an extra year or two in its pot instead of repotting can force it into reproducing, (obviously keeping it fed). Hope that helps

@germinator You can start a "Wollemi Island" project. You can get People to make an artificial island in a lake and then plant Wollemi Pine trees on the island.

Good day. Is it possible to get Wollemi seeds from you? I live in Ireland and it is extremely difficult to get seeds here. I would be very grateful if there was such a possibility, of course I will cover all shipping costs. Best regards, Robert.

I just thought of an interesting idea. How about making an artificial island in a lake and planting Wollemi Pine trees on it?

I got a wollemi made from a cutting. It was imported from the UK. Maybe you can find someone who imports the plants.

You could add a Monkey Puzzle tree and a Ginkgo tree to the garden since there considered to be "living fossils" as well.

I've just bought some seeds in the UK off ebay. Not cheap but a lot cheaper than buying a tree!

+germinator200 Hi I have two Wollemi trees and was wondering what kind of fertilizer you use on your trees. My one tree has female and male cones on but the other one has no sign of any male or female it had cones 2 years ago but nothing last year

Have you experimented with striking horizontal and vertical cuttings ! living near original site in australia and have tree struck in the early 80's from original tree not that there should be any genetic difference! But I do know there was quite a lot of playing around when they were first discovered hoping to replicate as many as possible at the same time keeping the george a secret so rich plant collectors willing to pay top dollar did not decimate the few trees that were left (less than 100) .
