I've never been to Wollerton Old Hall Garden. In fact, I have yet to visit England from the USA, but I can't wait! I would love to plan a trip to England to visit its gardens and beautiful cottage towns. Thank you so much for sharing this lovely garden! I enjoyed every minute of it, and I hope to have the opportunity to see it in person. :)

Nice documentary . I saw this Wollerton garden 15 years ago and Hidcote over ten times each .My intent was to build my own set of garden rooms. I had to leave England for Europe in order to buy land at all. 6 acres and built a house and English gardens on Edwardian English style. Took 14 years to sort it out and still at 70 building on fields into gardens by myself. Today rain so watched your video once again. Yours Sir Kevin Parr Bt

That sounds like quite a journey! It's great that you are still enjoying your land and garden. We're having quite a bit of rain here too, which doesn't make filming my next vlog any easier 🙂 thank you for watching and enjoying my video and thank you for commenting. Best wishes. Mark

I LOOKED AT ALL OPEN HISTORIC GARDENS IN MY NATIVE ENGLAND UNTIL I JUST HAD TO OWN MY OWN . Bits of four old gardens including Wollerton and Hidcote helped craft my two acres of garden. Rest of land is lawns orchards and veg gardens. Not open to public but if you book a visit to Rural Latvia perhaps i will show you around

Wow! That sounds amazing. What took you to Latvia might i ask? Mark

@MarksHouseandGardenUK2 жыл бұрын
That's Yew. And they have been pruned sculpturally. Aren't they amazing. I copied this in a previous garden and i started with 1 foot bushes. They were 8 foot within 6 years. It can grow reasonably quickly. Mark
