Man, I remember that X-Men 2 leather jacket Wolverine. I remember begging my mom for it when I saw it in the store, and not in a "please, I'll even clean my room" sort of way, and more of a crying tantrum sort of way. I ended up getting it that day, but thinking about it now fills me with shame, so much so I have him hidden in my closet, so I don't have to remind myself of it whenever I look at my shelf.

Really good stuff here. I liked my "leather jacket Logan" from X2, still have that one and Magneto, which are pretty solid movie figures with good likenesses (although, now seeing that wind-up toy, I know that the likeness isn't as good as it could be). The Evolution series passed me by also. It was out during that time in my life where I was in between my "I'm too old for kiddy cartoons" teenager phase and my "screw that, I'm watching cartoons" jaded adult phase. But I remember seeing the figures in ToyFare magazine and liking Wolverine's design. Too bad that the show never stuck with me - the changes in the storyline, coupled with Wolverine's voice reminding me of Duke Nukem just made it so I couldn't go back and watch the series. Great video, looking forward to the future parts.

Aaaaaaah, the X men films. To be honest, I went back to the first 2 movies, and....... in my opinion, I don't think they aged well. Like, there are some good moments and in NO WAY bad like X3 & Origins, but, I don't think they have gotten along pretty good with father time himself. First class and The wolverine are my new favorite X men films to come out in awhile, DOFP, I wasn't to big on, kind of made my head hurt the 2nd time around and forward. But that's just me. Im looking forward to things like Apocalypses and Deadpool. As for figures,.........I had the toad figure and the wolverine one. I think I also got a nightcrawler one. But lets agree, rubber face "stroke-verine" is the best movie wolverine figure ever, my quest for one myself begins!

computermonster1 I never felt like the first X-Men movie held up even at the time. Seemed like a made-for-TV movie. But I watched them all prior to seeing DOFP and I do commend how succinct it is at introducing the characters and their struggles. When you think Avengers had five movies to introduce its characters beforehand. At the time I saw X2 I came out thinking it was the best movie ever. The success of the first meant they sank more money into it and I had time to digest and compartmentalise the things I didn't like about the first movie. The effects for movies have progressed so much that when comparing X2 and other early comic book movies to recent ones I have to hold on to how I felt about it at the time or they get crushed. It's like these evolution videos in that like the figures its better to think of each movie as part of the same trajectory that tells an overall story about moviemaking itself

I find it ironic that I'm actually looking forward to an X-Men movie (Deadpool) because I don't like the X-Men at all. I've only seen The Last Stand when it came out and haven't seen it since then, and The Wolverine, which was actually pretty decent. I skipped DOFP because I just wasn't feeling the ads and just wasn't interested. Still, I know we'll never see them in the MCU, which I am kinda grateful for. The F4 on the other hand...
