@giantsfan729 cont...the ref had a much better angle than the cameras, but you can still see from slo-mo that the ball actually went right through Belcher's hands and Warren actually caught it about 6 inches past. Belcher then attempted to wrestle the ball away from Warren, who had established possession. It's also rash to assume that Indiana would have scored a 70-yard touchdown with two minutes to go when they had just been pounded the previous series with two sacks.

So we put up 63 points on Delaware State. Whoopty-fuckin'-doo. Looking good right now, Penn State's going to be a great game.

While I don't know about any 119 points on anyone (let alone State), I do know we put up 86 on Ohio State once. While the biggest margin of victory for the Buckeyes is 38 (a 38-0 defeat), and the most they've ever scored in a game is 50. Which they've done two or three times. The last one coming in 68, the year before Bo.

Exactly, If it wasn't for 6 turnovers vs Iowa and one bad pass from Tate vs MSU we would be 7-0 and atop the standings. The sick thing is we turned it over 6 times and this young team still only lost by two and we had a chance to win the game late. I'm fine with where we are right now and I personally think we will set the tone vs Penn State early with Minor and Brown running downhill, and will retain the lead all game. Michigan 35 Penn State 21.

@TheWolverineTimes But if you think about it Michigan needed a blow out like this. Losing to teams like Appalachian State and Toledo in the past 3 years we needed to beat the hell out of a weak out of conference team. I can bet you this that OSU fans were saying "Watch Michigan lose to this team too!" I was a must to shut up the critics and gain some respect back.

While I agree with the spirit of your argument, I would blame Cox in this specific instance. I say this because last season when Hoke and Borges came in with an offense more suited to Michael's abilities there was some buzz that he could become an impact player, or at the very least get a few carries. This did not end up being the case as Cox didn't see action at tailback and played only sparingly on ST, before not reurning for a fifth year.

@giantsfan729 IMO, when dealing with players, Rich Rod is actually even classier than Lloyd Carr. Carr had several players under him get into trouble with the law and still play. So far, Rod has immediately booted every player to even have an encounter with the cops (Justin Feagin didn't actually have cocaine, but conspired to obtain and sell). If you want classless, look at Saint Dantonio. It's turning into The Longest Yard at MSU.

@TheWolverineTimes BG and Umass are going to get thumped. I'll say it'll be close in the end of the first half against BG but in the 2nd half we pull away big time and drop the Falcons hard. Umass will be a slaughter all game long. BG however does have a few good players to watch out for on offense. Both games though will result in victories. UM 45 BG 17 UM 63 UMASS 7

Not necessarily true. There's the obvious financial gains. Which should never be a factor in these situations, but they are, so I digress. But there's also getting out there in a game situation. While still letting your more injured guys (Forcier, Minor, Brown) rest up. Which then lets your other players get some experience. You can only do so much in practice against the same guys day in and day out.

I like Rich's thinking here...let the big names (Forcier, Minor, Brown) rest up for that big matchup with Penn State. Is it just me, or is Robinson stating to look better? I know it's aganst an FCS school, but still... And I do like Cone, I must say. I'm not sure why, but I do like him.

What I was implying was that if your not supporting the coach then your in a way wishing the team to fail and in turn are not a fan. If you don't support the coach then you obviously want another coach in his spot and in order for that to happen he would have to either quit or get fired which would mean the team would have to start losing a lot. How can you want this to happen and still consider yourself a fan seriously. BTW what exactly is RR doing wrong dude explain why you don't like him.

I'm sorry, but when the guy starts saying the coach needs to be fired at this point in his tenure, then no, he doesn't know what he's talking about. The only guy he's come up with as an alternative was Les Miles. And it should be common knowledge by now that he was never a serious candidate for the job anyway because A) he burned a lot of bridges when he left and B) all of the noise was from him trying to get a pay raise from LSU.
@McSomething15
@McSomething15 15 жыл бұрын
When all he's done recently (ie all I've seen from him) is be nothing but vile towards RichRod, then no, I'm sorry, I can't "just let it slide" or anything like that. When he makes ridiculous comments that aren't backed with any logic or reasoning, I'll call him out on it. And what had English done (who was a pretty good D-coordinator, but that's it) done to suggest he would be a great head coach? Again, it was becoming pretty obvious that we were needing new blood, and RE wasn't it.
@TheZooCrew
@TheZooCrew 14 жыл бұрын
@giantsfan729 1) Do you not understand the difference in the level of recruited athletes here? Michigan's first string only played one series. The last string players continued to score after 21-0 all the way up to 63. It's not Rich Rod's fault if the opponent can't stop his fourth string. He didn't want this game scheduled. 2) You sound like a whiny WV fan who's pissed that he lost the best football coach he ever had. 3) That call at the end of the Indiana game was legit. Photos prove it.

It doesn't work that way. You can't say a guy needed to be fired for the amount of time you've been railing on him, then as soon as he wins the big(ger) games stand up and start cheering him. Holding a coach accountable, and calling him DickRod are two totally different things. You've gone from one end of the overzealous spectrum, to the exact opposite. You jumped to false conclusions by thinking RichRod was a quick fix, then you flipped when your too high expectations weren't met.
