This game was AWESOME!!!!! So happy to see the players on BOTH sides truly playing for the pride of their programs. I remember how intense, dirty, and passionate these games used to be when I was a kid, THIS WAS ONE OF THOSE GAMES. After all the flux these programs have been dealing with over the past few years, I truly believe both are back on track and ready to dominate just like the old days. I bet both of these teams will be back in the top 15 at the end of the season.

I will remember this game for the rest of my life. I was in New York City wearing my Michigan-Florida Citrus Bowl victory shirt and hat. First I had an amazing street performer sing a song about Michigan to me and then we met some more Michigan fans at the Highline Park in Chelsea. We finally made our way to a bar which turned out to be a huge Irish bar. We sat quietly at first and got louder as the game went on (and more Blue fans walked in). Finally the night culminated in that beautiful TD.

Forcier was amazing, but the man I never expected to have a great game was Darryl Stonum of all people, him and Greg Matthews stepped up big for Hemmingway, and Kevin Koger is still our beast at tight end, what an offesne! Go Blue!

This was an exciting game, glad Michigan won, but they kept showing this GORGEOUS Notre Dame girl in the stands during the game including right after the game winning touchdown and I felt bad for breaking her heart. What a doll!

I'm glad to see that there are people who show both sides of the ball in classic games! I don't know how many idiots I've seen who only show THEIR winning team's scores. thank u so much! Oh, and Texas no. 2 on that victories list HOOK 'EM! (apologies to Michigan fans who are still angry at texas)

Yea Stonum really suprised me yesterday cause he had been struggling in camp and last year, but he always made some catches that showed you his potential and now that I found out he's not goin to be injured for next week, hes completely fine, I know we have added another weapon to our offense, and he's got 4.4 speed, so he can maybe a good vertical threat, as long as the o-line gives Tate time in the pocket. Go Blue!

Every so often, there seems to be a few players who don't touch the banner. It's weird, yes. But not out of the ordinary. A few games I uploaded from the early 80's show the great Anthony Carter not touching the banner either.

Oh, believe me. I LOVE listening to Frank and Jim. Heck, I bring the radio into the big house with me so I can hear them after scores. But I have dish network, which means my TV is 4-6 seconds behind real time on the radio. So I don't exactly have a choice.

Exactly. It wasn't those calls by the refs, which were good by the way, that beat you. It was not running out the clock, and the inability to stop a true freshman QB from driving down the field that beat you. Just imagine how much better this kid (Forcier) is gonna be in the coming years when he has more weapons around him. Things are gonna get sick.

Also, on Odoms catch over the middle on our last drive, slow it down and watch as the ND defender CLEARLY is on Odoms' back while the ball is in the air. Granted he caught the ball, but that wasn't definite until the play ended. A flag clearly should've been thrown. Also, what about Robinson getting tackled out of bounds? Even the announcer commented on the late hit. Ahhh, Domers with their selective memories.

you are totally right on that one. everyone's like "players from notre dame have won more heisman trophies than any other team." and it's like who cares it was 60, 70, 80 years ago.

I saw that too. The picture shows a perfect view of his foot from the ground and it is in fact out of bounds. No TD. But I doubt that stops Domer fans from complaining about it. How much did we pay the refs again? Because I forgot my check. ;-)

I have Dish Network too. Do you have the DVR? Just keep plating with the pause and play buttons the first drive of the game. Soon enough, you'll be listening to Frank and Jim in sync with the TV. Mine's usually 23 seconds behind cuz I stream it through my computer from MGoBlue. Can't watch a game now without it.

You've also probably never seen a CB cover a guy all day with one arm. Cissoko was unable to lift one of his arms over his before the game because of a stinger from last week. There was some residual nerve damage. Not really that bad a performance when you consider that information.

I never said he had a great day. It was cringeworthy for him, to be exact. In fact, I turned to my dad and said ND will probably throw in his direction all day. And yet you STILL lost. Regardless, every complaint you made about the officials was replied to - including many plays that ND got away with. And yet you STILL haven't got a leg to stand on. Thank you for not looking at the entire picture and coming here to remind us why the world despises ND fans so much.

I don't presume to know whether they do or not, just that the news Articles contradict what you are saying. Saying that those were were NOT available. I feel like that is probably the truth. However, you are right that good calls matter, whether it hurts or helps. I will say that the holding call on that 75 yd TE td was bad, very bad. And they let Cissoko get away with murder. That guy was toast all day. The calls are infuriating because they were on large plays.

Hmm. Are you 100% sure about that? I have seen multiple news reports that the angles shown by WNDU were NOT accessible to the refs. Yes, they made the right call there and I agree he stepped out, but with what was shown prior, he DEF had not stepped out and it was 100% not conclusive and surely not sure enough to overturn a call on the field. The point is, the news stated those angles were NOT available. Those were NBC cameras with that angle, it was a ESPN/ABC game. The call should stand.
@WolverineHistorian
@WolverineHistorian 15 жыл бұрын
The Rudolph TD that got called back - Cissoko was nailed in the back on a block. No call. No mention of that. Also, on Inside ND football the host and Charlie were complaining that on the last long pass they threw, Warren interfered with Tate, even though it looked like Tate was pulling Warren down. Not sure why Tate didn't get called for taunting going into the endzone holding the ball out and looking at the Michigan players. Lost a lot of respect for Golden Tate on Saturday. Whining all game.
@buttersbrian
@buttersbrian 15 жыл бұрын
It is not. It's logic. If they don't have that angle, which I'm positive they didn't, then they didn't have an angle that was indisputable. It's simple logic. I hope you are not a lawyer. A diff angle from WNDU's NBC cameras show they made an excellent call, but did so with different camera angles that were by no means indisputable. Also, Michigan should be proud of their team. They are arriving sooner than expected and gelling. I like it when Michigan's good. It makes CFB better.

All I know is that Michigan is currently ranked. So someone obviously gives some form of a shit. And that Michigan beat UF in Florida in Tebow's Heisman winning "Superman" year. And that Ron Zook era of "yours" wasn't all that long ago. I do still find it funny that you didn't claim UF until AFTER all of your arguments against Michigan in Saturday's game were ripped apart. And it's not like you weren't getting called a Notre Dame fan the whole time.

There were calls both ways that were blown, like most games. This argument that they did not have access to the angle when THE RIGHT CALL WAS MADE is the stupidest thing I have ever heard. You admitted he was out of bounds, discussion is over. Ultimately, ND had a chance to run the clock out with their offense or win with their defense at the end. Both failed. Move on.
@TheZooCrew
@TheZooCrew 15 жыл бұрын
Here's YOUR reality check...you lost. Allen was clearly out of bounds and if you look up any news story ever about that call, they all agree and the BCS sanctioned it. Officiating was awful on both sides and whining about it makes you pathetic. The refs shouldn't have mattered. No excuses. Play like a champion.
