Wolvesville is an online multiplayer game based around the popular card game: Werewolves. With almost 100 roles, over 20 gamemodes and an active playerbase, Wolvesville is the perfect game if you are looking for a fun social deduction game to kill your time. 🐺
But since it may be overwhelming and a lot to take in, and the in-game tutorial may not be the best, I made this Beginner Guide for Wolvesville. This puts more emphasis on the basics such as phases, the different teams and even some tips to impress your friends and foes as a beginner! 💡

1. 3:32: New players, Hypo means it literally that if you are a solo killer, you HAVE to kill everybody, including fool/hh. There is no "same role = same team" in wolvesvile which means you have to kill the solo killer to win even if they have the same role as you. If you are a solo killer that converts a player to your team, you will know your teammates and have a night private chat just like werewolves. Your goal in that case would be to eliminate everyone who is NOT on your team to win. (For those who played TOS/TOS2, this is very important just for you to know so you don't go trying to find your "RK teammate") 4:43: A couple is just a side team that you win with if all other players who are not part of the couple team dies. It is considered game throwing (which is a reportable offence) if you do something that causes the couple team to fall. This means that if you are a villager and your partner is evil, you are NOT allowed to say that your partner is evil. If you are a coupled informer with an evil partner, you are allowed to lie to say that your partner is good. Just do whatever it takes to keep your couple alive if threatened, even if it means that you have to admit being coupled to a Fool that is about to be lynched. 4:41: Storm Wolf: Am I a joke to you? 5:52: Usually, the unknown villagers either have the ability to kill or to revive a player. Unknown werewolves are those related to the Alpha Werewolf. And solos are always unknowns because it wouldn't be fair otherwise. 6:08: Fool aside, if you are not a villager, your job is to act like you are good throughout the game. This means that you do not defend your evil teammates if they are accused because if they die, you will be the next person to be voted out. But if you are getting accused, you should defend yourself at all costs. 7:00: This is strictly for people who played TOS/TOS2 but new to this game. Fool and Headhunter are unfortunately factional. This means that you cannot allow them to have their win even as an evil player. If they get their win, the game ends, you lose. Except for Lurker (who needs to be attacked to be factional), everyone is factional 9:21: This is explained because Village are generally overpowered with not only with their sheer numbers but also a vast number of strong and/or provable roles in the game. So as much as the werewolves hates it, they need the solo killer early game to weaken the village to a point that village isn't so strong. 2. About leaving the game (termed "fleeing", previously "suicide"): - If you start a game, try to commit to the game until you are eliminated from the game (through dying) no matter what your role is. Leaving the game gives your team a disadvantage especially if you are evil. - If for some reason you really need to flee (eg: irl reasons), flee before the first voting phase (when voting starts on Day 1) because there are other players that can take over your place during that period. Do NOT be an ass to flee if you are outed. You are not giving your replacement a fair chance to play the game if you do so. Imagine joining mid game and suddenly you get lynched because whoever you took from got caught. Now that's not a fun experience isn't it? - Also, do NOT intentionally wait for the period to end just so that you flee if you are outed. You are giving your team a disadvantage because no one can take over your place. Just be graceful by getting voted out and then leave. - It is indeed a reportable offence to flee. If you keep fleeing, you can get auto banned from it. You are only allowed to leave the game if you are already dead (with the exception of being informed that you are going to be revived by the Ritualist. If you leave while in the process of being revived, you can be reported for that) - A strategy you can try if you really need to leave on N1: ask your teammate to sell you out by faking an informer role. Once you get lynched by the village, the one who sold you out becomes trusted to the village which can help your team win while you can leave the game to do your whatever you need to do. (This is an uncommon strategy called bussing. You throw your teammate on the bus as an evil so that you become trustworthy. Usually if this is done, the werewolf will sell the JWW/KWW to use their effects) 3. Random Killing: This refers to village players random killing (such as Vigilante) which is reportable. Evil players are allowed to random kill since it is their job to kill. You are not allowed to: - Shoot a player randomly. You only shoot if you have a reason to believe that this player is evil. - Shoot a player that you just don't like. That's just harassment. - Shoot a player that you think it's annoying. Maybe he's annoying because he's trying to get claims from everyone? Even if he's just outright annoying that doesn't help the village, you don't just shoot him unless you think he's evil with some evidence. What is allowed: - Priest and Marksman random killing because they are already punished by being killed themselves while the other player is not affected in any way. Therefore, this is tolerated. (Astronomer random killing however is NOT tolerated because you will still kill the player even if you die as a consequence) - Shooting a player who turned out good because someone said this player is evil. This is ok because you were being tricked which is part of the game. - Shooting in a one for one between two players (either because they counter claim each other or these are the 2 unconfirmed people remaining). This may look random but this is actually fine because you are making an informed decision to eliminate one of them such that if the person you shot is actually good, then the other player is bad and the village will vote them out. If you shoot an evil player, then the other person becomes confirmed good and will be left alone. - Shooting randomly when the village is about to lose. For example, there are 4 villagers (you are one of them and informers are dead), 4 werewolves and a solo killer. You don't know alot of people who may be good or bad so you force everyone to claim their roles. That is completely fine if you shoot a player who refuses to cooperate with you because claim space is very tight and there are too many evils around. - Random killing as a village role because you are actually a recruit or a member of the sect. This is fine because you fall under the Evil team, which random killing as an evil player is fine.

Fun fact you do have a high chance of losing when you lose the solo killer day 1 but remember anything can happen, especially lovers shenanigans, or a village killer like Gunner or Witch killing wrong.

its very important that seasoned players are more kind to new players, because new players are the future of the game and everyone deserves to enjoy the game (as long as they aren't breaking rules). Id say this game (as well as many other social deduction games) have a learning curve so it may take some time to get at the stage of knowing the evils very quickly. Take your time with it, hopefully this (and other) video(s) help you 😉

(It's first time I'm doing) Role: Lifeguard Team: Village Aura: Unknown Advance role of: Bodyguard After day 1, you can save up to 2 people from any attacks. If you get attacked, the first one won't kill you, but the second one will definately kill u.

​@@hyposteinI'll write interactions, 1-Any solo killer attacks (except bomber, hipnoterapist and siren) will protect lifeguard but at 2nd, lifeguard will die. 2-Bomber, hipnoterapist and siren attacks will definately kill lifeguard instantly. 3- Lifeguard can save 2 people but can't save every night. 4-Lifeguard can be converted regardless of their protection.

It's not out yet but it's planned to be the advanced role of FC. It's literally the better FC because not only you have two protections, you also protect them from the grave (if you have given the sticks while alive) and the town can tell that the stick saved them from being lynched because of the message. (FC and GWW will give the message that they tried to lynch but was protected). The only drawback is that you can't give stick to yourself.

@epicfishrolls wait you are correct, I just read the description of the role now in one of my videos. So basically you have two sticks to give and if someone with a stick is about to be lynched, the votes will be cancelled and the stick is consumed. Sticks will stick with the players, even if Rainmaker dies.

Hey hypo do you know Duck Duck Goose? I found interesting role name Dueling Dodo they are like fool on this game but they can't win when voted out until one of dodo is death of course on this game Dodo can kill each other but what do you think if this implemented on Wolveslville like Dueling Fool or something similar like that? Wdym? Like vigilante, paci, seer abilities or role claiming? Role claiming isnt sucky gameplay, its optimal gameplay and can easily be countered by playing actively (e.g. claiming village roles as evil) as werewolf. Often when people dont dare to claim, they should know they arent giving their all (meaning they may not complain when the village does decide to play optimally) OR they want to rely on luck and social deduction game ≠ luck game. But if you mean the reveal abilities, then I 100% agree, because they are the biggest social-deduction game killers...

@@hypostein what I often face is that somebody out of nowhere just says “number role” and i say doctor or bodyguard or whatever is in game that have abilities that thr village cant see, and then another one who is actually the doctor for example says “no number I am doctor”. Then they A, believe me, lynch that guy and see he is doctor and I die the next vote or B, which is usually the case, they just say “oh so numbers lying then vote him” with no help at all from my team. That in my opinion is the most annoying thing

@@RealPyro88 tbh, getting a mislynch, even if that goes at your own cost afterwards, is a decent tradeoff already. For reliable wins, you are looking for the village to make around 3 more errors than the evils, meaning you will have to push or hope for gamethrowing villagers if you want to win anyways. Getting lynched as ww isnt an error for the ww team because solo + ww kill twice per cycle and villagers usually once and sometimes twice. Losing the solo early is a bigger error than getting killed as ww, especially if you manage to get a villager killed by the village in the process.

I wouldnt be able to compare the two, the only thing they have in common is that they are mafia games. ToS is probably the more worked out game in terms of graphics and music etc, whereas Wolvesville has more roles and a different (more casual) community. Wolvesville is more like the card game, and ToS is the og/pioneer of social deduction games online.
