20 yrs isn't enough prison time for this monster! He should never step outside prison walls again. Christy is an incredibly strong, courageous , tough woman, who took the necessary steps to put that monster behind bars so he could never hurt another person again. As for Chloe's story... at 13 & pregnant - she brakes down to a school counsellor about being abused at home then misses 3 days immediately after, and this didn't set off alarm bells with that school counsellor?? police should have been called that day she spoke up & they should be fired!

There is no possible way I could express how much I was affected by this episode. Christy Sims is, for me, the strongest, most beautiful and inspiring woman I’ve seen. Her story is so much more than just surviving DV. She had to basically relearn how to “be” again! I am a survivor of DV and have been inspired by many others, but I couldn’t believe how in awe of this amazing woman I was. Sincerely, I wish her all the joy, healing, love, peace, prosperity and whatever else she may need or desire in her life. Truly inspirational. She came face to face with true evil. Such an amazing woman to never give up. ❤❤❤ Of course Chloe is an exceptional young lady, and I wish her so much healing and love. I have no connection to this kind of situation (thank God), but of course I could still feel her pain. As well as for her sister Neveah, his biological daughter. This man is an absolute disgusting monster. I hope Neveah does someday (if she is able to) bring her own charges against this disgrace against men. Both of the men in these stories are disgraces against men, actually no- against humanity. No actually good human would ever act like either one of these demons. I’m honestly horrified. I hope these two young ladies find peace in their lives. It will definitely take time, therapy and patience. I remember vividly when this happened because as a college advisor, one of my students were dramatically affected by this situation because she was dating Christy’s children father. She was in constant grief about how he and the children were traumatized about it. I had no glue how bad it was until i saw and heard Christy talking about her story on our local radio and TV stations in Atlanta. About 2 or 3 years after it happened, Christy came to the college and spoke to our students and she is indeed a powerful force who has turned her pain into her passion of saving people’s lives. Her book is indeed a page turner. It was so riveting i read it twice and this is coming from someone who can barely get through one chapter of any book. I follow her on social media and she really looks good and seems to be even stronger now than when she did this interview which I believe was years ago despite them reposting in 2 wks ago.

Glad the POS guy in the first story went to jail, but what the hell is with those idiot cops who "interviewed" the victim while she was still delirious in the hospital bed? Were they just trying to get the case wrapped up quickly so they didn't have to do more work?

As traumatizing it is to be interviewed immediately after dealing with such a horrific ordeal, sometimes victims of various crimes do remember much needed details. So I am guessing that the police just wanted to be sure that they can get any information while the memories are recent. But police officers should tell a specialized psychologist to do the interviewing, not the police (so the police could give a list of questions to the psychologist).

I walked away from an abusive husband 43years ago and moved countries, but still being hounded. I was not the only victim. He abused several others over past 4 decades - the sad part is the kids he fathered from all relationships are victims too.
