Woman claims she got HPV-related cancer from nail salon

A California woman is speaking out after a routine manicure resulted in her developing an infection that turned into a form of cancer that can be cured, especially when caught early.
Grace Garcia shared her experience on social media last month.
"It all started w/Mani/Pedi that went wrong! Nail tech cut me with unsterilized tools! which within 6 months turned in to CANCER!!" she captioned her TikTok post.

It’s better for women to do their own nails at home. Buy the press on nails and glue. It’s too risky at these nail salons.

So sad. It doesn’t surprise me. Most nail salons are filthy. I’ve been cut dozens of times with dirty utensils. I’ve never been to a salon that uses different Dremel bits between clients…even after a client is cut and blood on the sanding tool.

Thanks Dr Odija for being the perfect doctor I found, I couldn't imagine living with HPV for the rest of my life, because it has been said that the virus cannot be cured, but thank God I finally got a cure and after 3 months I haven't seen any blisters and have been tested negative thank you so much Dr you have a way of making things better ,,,..

That's why you don't go to just any manicurist, but y'all like to go to those cheap places, most of them aren't even licensed yet they get away with it because the Dept. Of Professional Regulation doesn't have enough employees to do shop checks. I stay away from those places, you know who they are.
