This date was not that bad. I’ve had worse unfortunately and I’m sure there are other women who have had worse. Perhaps her date was somewhat cringe but if he was so bad, why stay? Just leave! I'm a 52 year old woman, wife and mother. I too have never been on a date. Have only ever had 2 boyfriends before I met my husband. They were all vetted by friends (were friends of a friend). My first boyfriend was my high school boyfriend. We were both movie buffs, he was the president of his university movie club, so I hung out with him there. That ended when I flew back home (I was in Spain for 4 years). My second I met in my bushwalking group and that's what we did on our own together. I lost him to a TBI (traumatic brain injury). My husband was my brother in laws best friend (my sister's husband's best friend). We just hung out together at each other's house, went shopping, watched movies etc. None of my boyfriends drank alcohol, smoked, did drugs, gambled etc. Neither did I. So bars, clubs, dance clubs etc was not out scene. Now my husband and his best friend are brother in laws.
