I recently saw this one right here on KZbin. When this woman had the news involved, because squatters were in the house that she bought and they wouldn't leave. So the News were filming it and the police were there to help her. It was almost like a SWAT team and then the squatters started unloading all their stuff that was in the house. They squatters were bringing out, that a law that says they are allowed to squat in your house when it's empty? I've never heard of anything like that. BTW this was a house in Beverly Hills, CA. The people had bought it while they were away, and when they came back from a month vacation and they went to move into the house and that's when they found the squatters were living there. It took the new owners months of fighting with the squatters and the authorities, to get the squatters out. Now please tell me is there such a law that protects squatters?Squatters are a big problem out there and I always thought that they would be in the classification of trespassing, so they're breaking the law, so what law are they hiding behind that allows them to stay in a house that they don't own but the owners want to get into where they're squatting because they own the house. To me it seems it's all insane out there concerning squatters.

To be fair, the defendant, realizing she could not keep her end of the lease up, should have IMMEDIATELY and concurrently with the 30 days notice, given the plaintiff her $1100 deposit back so she would have the money to look for a new apt. Plaintiff was in this case deliberately left in the lurch by the defendant. That said, if she didn't have to pay rent for the next 3 months, she should be all good by now.

People take advantage of the legal system, which is generally unfair to the property owner. The owner has to go through the eviction process, get a lawyer, wait for a court date and then get some bleeding heart judge to drag out the eviction process. Meanwhile, the property owner has to pay a mortgage and property tax on a property that they're not getting any rent from.

This is exactly why I sold my two rental properties - dealing with outrageous and greedy people. They almost put in the nut house trying to get people out of my houses because they didn’t pay. Mostly they claimed they didn’t have money, to which I asked why they signed the lease? They knew what it was going to cost to live there. Fools want a really nice big house with a big yard, but they can’t afford the rent. 🤦🏻

I own the home that my grandparents lived in. The woman who took care of my grandmother was a live in caregiver. For appreciation in taking care of her in her last days.
