My husband’s father made it to 97years. His mother died ten twelve years earlier and we all thought that when she died he’d soon follow as they were old school where she waited on him hand and foot. He went on until apparently he was taken into hospital. He’d coped with no help since losing his wife .No cleaner no meals on wheels Nothing. We live abroad. Anyway his daughter told him jn no uncertain terms that there was NO way he was returning home. So I truly believe he decided If I can’t return to my home then I will die. This is what he did .
