If you told me that she's going to direct movies, my first guess that it will be a drama movie or a romcom, either those two that fits her very well, could've been an easy start for her but a serial killer thriller movie? I would recommend this movie. There are many serial killer movies that have been done wrong and with too much sympathy to the extent of audiences misinterpreting the message or taking away the wrong themes but while this movie is nuanced in enough to feel real, it is very clearly directed by a woman in its emphasis on women's pre-existing fear and women not being believed. Anna Kendrick's direction did this movie justice.

I took a horror films class in college, and on the first day of class, my professor played the original clip this film is based on without any context. The Dating Game played out as it would, and the woman selected "Bachelor #1" as her choice. After the clip ended, my professor turned to the class and said, "the man she chose was a serial killer". It sent chills down my spine, and that moment has stuck with me all these years since. Surprised to see a film based on it now

@@Spacecadet0720 Right? and not just that but how it showed how she just wanted to be friends with one guy but he kinda acts stiffly when he doesnt get what he wants.. Even the way that jerk guy warned her about the creepy villian.. So many examples that perfectly captured that female experience. This film sucked. To think someone can try to reinsert themselves in the past and rewrite time to accomplish what exactly? The film did not have a single good guy in the entire film. Literally every guy was a jerk, creep, stalker, dishonest, overbearing, or unaware and it just screams of man bashing. Definitely NOT true of the times, society or any sense of realism.

One man who did a devastating amount of harm to many innocent women, society and the world. I appreciate how Woman of the Hour highlights the treatment of women in the past, particularly the way society - especially men - often viewed women as mere sexual objects or someone to manipulate. The film does a powerful job of exposing this perception and captures the discomfort women feel in male-dominated environments, especially when those settings are designed to exploit their image. I was especially struck by how the protagonist chooses to alter her script, using her voice to challenge the norms and reveal what’s truly on her mind, rather than simply following along with the objectification. The story delivers a meaningful lesson that resonates today.

Was powerful at showing how woman pick up on danger more as we HaVE too, to protect ourselves. And how have to please when know in danger and not set someone off. The disappointing comments just seem to me were expecting more action, but the movie is not about that. Showing how woman are ignored and dismissed. Even how we can pickup on body language or eyes eachother and men miss it. I found it a must see and insight into female behavior a bit around unhinged dangerous vibes and how we will know sometimes and ignore it to our peril. As society tries to teach us be nice!
