As someone grew up sheltered, I really feel for her. I was desperate to prove I was not as innocent as I looked/seemed, and impatient for romance. There were positive and negative experiences I feel I had to have in order to become less naïve. The most significant ones couldn’t happen until I went to college (lived in dorms and then apartments) and had the chance to gain independence. Not sure of her career goals, but college in a walkable town/neighborhood with public transport could be a great environment for her- no driving needed, and you can easily meet people your age in class.

I think that's an excellent suggestion. College would give her a chance to socialize with people her age and get to know them before entering a relationship. And roommates and friends can introduce her to people they know are safe, instead of trying to meet strangers on your own whose background you don't know. Plus, she seems to want someone who's educated, so a college area would be a great start.

I have congenital hypopituitarism. I stopped growing at 5 and started growth hormone shots at 8. I was 4 years behind my peers by the time I started heading upwards.
