I love these Secret Santa stories and God Bless Secret Santa and Nate and the team from East Idaho News. Secret Santa really has the right idea to do his charitable work in secret. Too many times people do what they consider an act of charity, only to go out and broadcast what they've done. That is not charity, that is self service. I love how the Secret Santa makes sure to give two separate checks for $10,000 so that, assuming the Santa is giving via two businesses or if there are two individuals (husband and wife) that the recipient doesn't have to pay gift tax.

Falling on your face is no joke! My husband slipped on ice on Christmas Eve last year and broke his face. He had a ZMC fracture and we were told he'd need surgery. Fortunately it was mild enough that he didn't, but he still has nerve issues from it. I'm glad this kind lady is doing better so quickly! And I really hope she uses that money to fix her home.

This is like what happened to my mom. She was a carpenter, working for the local public schools. One day she was going up some stator, carrying 50 lbs of tools in each hand and tripped. She didn't hit her face but landed on her shoulder. After lots of hospital visits and rehab she was better but still couldn't work anymore.
