Nicely done Chris (as usual)! Looking forward to your upcoming hikes and videos this year. God Bless!

Thanks, Ken! Hopefully I can do the OHT justice, & capture all the magic of that trail.

So enjoy your videos. We live in Newton County, so the BRT and OHT are our two favorites, but truly enjoy your journeys to the other great beauties ! Thanks for sharing!❤

Y’all are living the dream up there in the most scenic county in all of middle America. Thanks for watching & the kind words. We’re so lucky to have both the Ouachitas & the Ozarks. Can’t wait to get back on the OHT - 7 weeks from today. ⏳

I tell everyone when they ask about a short trail to thur hike. Go do the Womble Trail. Beautiful trail. Go luck on the OHT. I hope to be on the Ozark Trail about the same time. Another great video.

Thank ya, sir! Ole Muddy Feet going for the Triple “O”! Man, have a safe trip. The OHT should be absolute magic if this rain keeps it up. Can’t wait. As far as the Womble, I regret not hiking it sooner!

I am also looking at the Maah Daah Hey Trail in North Dakota for the fall. I've been wanting to try an open country hike.

Always a good video from you. I think you'll love the EE quilt. Been loving mine for a few years now.

Hey, thanks Eric. My old Zpacks bag served me well, but it was time. I was so impressed with EE’s Torrid jacket & pants, that I didn’t hesitate. Failed to mention I opted for the 950FP.

Just stumbled across your channel!! Hope to run into you in March! Going to try to knock out a few sections. Won't be hitting your mileage though lol.

Welcome! Nice, what sections are you looking at? The weather will play a huge role in my mileage, but I will be in no hurry.

Hey Chris, new subscriber here. For any of the trails in Arkansas, do you hang your food or take any preventative measures to reduce bear encounters?
@DixonHikes3 ай бұрын
Thanks for the sub@@happycampers6592 I hang my food more times than not, but bears aren’t really in my mind here in Arkansas. Over 1,000 miles hiked in the backcountry & I’ve still yet to see a bear. I hang it to keep the little critters away from me. Odor proof bags have proven to be effective as well.
