I am in awe of your talent Alex Zafer. I was once told that art is art when it inspires a reaction from the viewer. I have to tell you I have had untold reactions to the photos in this. It is definitely art, art and more art. Thank you for capturing and sharing so many inspiring images.

Lisbon. Remarkable photo work in the streets ... my congrats. I praise women so much for their smart mind and soul through life problems. They are great as person and as being and above all as MOTHERS.

Very nice work. Enjoyed it so much. What's not to like? It was women ! What camera ? I'm thinking Leica digital or Fuji or maybe Ricoh GR ? Thanks, LarryMac
@AlexZafer3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for saying! Most of these images were made using an Olympus OMD E-M5 Mark II -- which is a stellar camera. Some were also made with the Ricoh GR, which in the last year or so has become my primary tool of choice for street photography.

What is it that make these photo's very dark in the dark areas or shadows...I like this very much..and cant get the setting on my digital camera..maybe this is film...
@AlexZafer4 жыл бұрын
Thanks. This is all digital. Many of the photos have been processed using Silver Efex Pro which offers some great toning and contrasty film-like features.

Woah. Did you take all of these? I love the concept that you had of women in the city. I really liked the one at 2:15 . I tried street photography too for the first time on my channel but theyre nothing close to yours. Good stuff.

Thanks so much for commenting. Yes, I took all of these photos. It's a long run-time, it was used as a screening for an event on Women and the City. It's been a long term project -- and this is really just the bare tip of the iceberg. I've been photographing the streets in the Toronto area for many years now, it's what I live for I suppose :-) It's probably the hardest genre to master too, but I think it also makes me a better photographer in the other kinds of image making work that I do. Keep going, practice practice practice I always say. You have to get out there often and work it. Although it takes time, you'll develop a rhythm and style. Thanks again for watching the montage. I hope to make few more of these up soon! It's a good time to be a photographer, although some might disagree. Feel free to check out my street photography website at www.thecandidflaneur.com

I enjoyed many of your images. 27 minutes is too much for me. A massive amount of images to view at one sitting. You could have chopped this presentation into multiple episodes. I know my attention span, even with good work like this, isn’t long enough for me to take in your work in one sitting. Mask On Nurse Marty

Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed many of them. This reel was featured at the art gallery of Hamilton, as you see it in this form and length. It was a special presentation as part of a panel talk exploring the multifaceted relationship that women have with cities. There's always the pause button and revisiting if you so wish :-) I do appreciate whatever time you may have spent with the images. All the best.
