Women Blind Rank the best Men's fragrance, from Best to Worst | Sauvage, Bleu de Chanel, Dylan Blue

We asked 7 women to rank the best men fragrances from best to worst, on the basis of their fragrance. The contestants were given the tester strips with the perfumes already sprayed on them without any knowledge of what was sprayed on each strip.
They were asked to rank these fragrances purely on the way they smell, and not on the brand value.

exactly what I thought like she wasn't describing the fragrances like a perfume student would.she also was getting the notes all wrong from what they actually are.

From the reactions, I feel they are actually smelling the full drydown of these perfumes.....otherwise Sauvage and Dylan Blue are practically Ambroxan bombs.....they're very sharp and project loudly.....and the same goes for BDC too coz of Iso E Super.....one thing I would suggest is that dark and fresh perfumes shouldn't be compared to each other because they have totally different characteristics.....so instead of Jazz club you could have included Narciso Rodriguez Bleu Noir EDT

Yup that's what I thought. They apparently used the same strip and they must be lying down for quite some time. There is no way Prada and Dylan smell similar. Dylan and Sauvage, maybe because of the Ambroxan but Prada L'homme is completely different. Anyway, everyone has a different nose. However in such tests spraying on a fresh strip will give them the idea of the opening and then smelling the dry down on previously prepared strips would give a different perspective.

Good but next time, give each one fresh strips so they can comment about opening notes as well. They were just comment based on the dry down.

For a perfumery student I was a little disappointed that she didn't mention any of the notes. That's what I like about ATH's reviews. As a perfumer himself he brings the knowledge of aroma chemicals and their distinct characteristics. Of course he's a seasoned guy and this girl was just a student, so can't compare.

Why is Versace Dylan Blue so low?
