I’ve been married the better part is 3 decades. Raised three wonderful kids, built a beautiful life. There are ebbs and flows in marriages. Things aren’t better with a different person. You work together to make it work.

Got married young (I was 22, still had a year of uni left). I dated plenty of girls prior, didn’t enjoy the scene, always wanted to be with that one person. Still married 20 years later, got 5 awesome kids, marriage is probably better now than ever. Find someone you like and likes you. Similar interests are good. What’s hard is determining that persons level of commitment and willingness to work through all the challenges you face being together a long time. Also, marry someone you think is hot, but also likes to work to stay hot. Ran a half marathon with my wife this year!

Another BIG mistake we make is assuming things/people are from God. Theres a difference between God speaking to u and ASSUMING that God spoke to u. We make assumptions that God spoke to us about things yet HE wasnt even in the picture most times. That woman in the first clip brought God in her situation 15 YEARS after she chose to be with the guy she was with. I find it interesting when ppl say stuff like this coz it discredits the ppl of faith further just because ppl like her say "God told me this.." when they didnt even involve Him in their choices in the first place

you don't cut your parents or siblings out of your life just because you're bored. love is consistent and exists even if things are not exciting. people mistake excitement with love and that is the issue. if your partner is genuinely a good person leaving them because you are bored is childish. you will get bored of the next person too so good luck

My parents have been together for 24 years, and this complex narrative often leaves me feeling conflicted. However, I believe there are important cause-and-effect relationships at play in marriage. While my mother and father’s marriage hasn’t always been perfect during these years, I see it as a sacrifice they made for my brothers and me rather than for themselves. This perspective is something many young adults, including myself, struggle with. We need to recognize that marriage is a commitment we should make primarily for the sake of our children, rather than for our own desires.

Not sure if I necessarily agree with that. I truly see your point, yes, however if your parents only stay together for "your" happiness, what about their own? What about the examples they show you? “Til death do us part UNLESS it becomes repetitive and boring and I just need to feel something again!” Is crazy. I watched Ice Cube on Cam’s podcast make a great point! There’s times when you don’t like your mama or daddy. Your longest platonic friendship has had its ups and downs…..but they’re still in your life. Granted, marriage is a person you’ll see everyday for the rest of your life, but that’s why you need to be sure before you sign up for forever.. but once you do, lock in, make that choice to stay always and may God protect it 🙏🏾

This kid I went to high school with, nice ass family. Dad was a doctor and mom was middle school teacher I think. He came to school and depressed one day and because we were close at the time, one thing led to another and he said he’s mom is leaving the relationship because she fell out of love for his dad. He was really sad about it, I just remember him going from a really happy dude to like always moody. At one point the dad had to move out of their house. My point is marriage is just a scam for men, a scam I’ll sadly have to fall for because I was raised in a traditional home and I want nothing more than that. It really sucks that your wife of years can just wake up one morning, decide to leave and take your stuff on the way out, while you end up sad and deranged

As someone who is religious I’m extremely curious as to the advice people gave her. For example “don’t be unevenly yoked is more so for people who are already in the faith to not try and get someone with differing beliefs. You would be starting the relationship off in subtle conflict and pulling in different directions. If you’re already married then you should be an example by standing on those principles in your life and unless they give you an ultimatum that it’s them or God you should stay in that marriage.

I would like to know the age of the first young lady. From an "old head" (43) perspective she probably got married young, turned ~30 something and lost her mind i.e. but used the "God told her he wasn't it" as a scapegoat. This happens often to women around that age range who marry in their early 20s from what I've learned over the years. Shout out to my boy @TheRealMTR for the unhinged, but true, comment lol My advice is don't get married in your 20's. One barely knows themselves around that time.

01:09 isn’t the truest form of love also being able to sign a paper which confirms your love to one another. Why, does it scare you or do you want an open relationship. Just say if you don’t want to commit. I have to disagree with you Rhino 🙃

Yes, discourages divorces but not anti-divorce. There are instances in the bible that divorce is allowed

@ Jesus replied, “Moses permitted you to divorce your wives because your hearts were hard. But it was not this way from the beginning. I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another woman commits adultery.” Mathew 19:8-9

If you find 80% of everything you want in a person, my dear you have won. The 20% doesn't matter, no one is perfect. I feel like most people in our generation lack patience and commitment, They would rather chase after the 20% and leave the 80%, they suffer from “the grass is greener somewhere else” mentality. Everyone needs to remember that relationships take a lot of work, and you might not be satisfied with your partner but you choose to stick with them because that is love. Love is a lifetime commitment and a choice!🙏❤️

The fact that she blamed her decision to break her vows to God and her husband on God is wild af. Girl, God didn't tell you that.

Parents are together but separated from church, dont remember when, but i rem my dad during at least one or two arguments afterwards telling me that he would have divorced a while ago but didnt want to disrupt the stability i would have needed as a child with both parents in the household. Im of the opinion that it would have been better for them to seperate then stay miserable. Of course hindsight is 20/20 , im older now, dont know how that would have affected me as a child.

God would not tell you to go against your marriage a marriage is a covenant with God, He would never tell a person to break that. They were obviously just bored doing it for selfish reasons.

I love how we're now acting like we know what God tells people. We can believe all the other bullshit that God "told" people in a fictional book, but we can't believe God told this woman her husband wasn't the right man?
