Kayla i thought that, like she couldnt skip 2 days so she wants a sweaty mess id also think getting swear under the stickers wouldnt be a good idea
@lilbohbeat57856 жыл бұрын
Kayla While getting wet is known to be detrimental to an allergy patch test, there are certain grooming methods (commonly sponge-bathing) which are typically advised in place of taking a shower during those 48 hours. However, this is _only_ advised on the occasion (unforeseen or special-case) that bathing is _physically necessary,_ and cannot wait. It is a completely different scenario in this video, though! To be honest, a bit cringey... since anything beyond a light sweat is equally harmful (and against the rules) to the patch test process as water from a shower - for basically the same reason. It was irresponsible of her to choose to go to the gym during her wait time; not only because it was against the rules & might have disrupted her test’s outcome - but also because of the misinformation that comes across, specifically to those watch this to gain some insight/understanding of their own upcoming or current patch test.

So when I was in middle school whenever I would go outside I would get this terrible butterfly puss rash on my face and arms and none of my doctors could figure it out. I got tested and apparently I have this rare condition that makes me allergic to the sun!!! So to “help me” they told me to overload with sunscreen so I did and the rash blistered worse than ever. I got tested again and it turns out that I am also extremely allergic to sunscreen!!! Go figure! So I have been getting allegory shots for the sun which has been helping a little but It is still very hard!!

I went and got an allergy test when I was 16 because I was never able to breathe through my nose and was tired of carrying around boxes of tissues with me. I always felt ashamed when I would sneeze or have to blow my nose and people would assume I was sick. My results came back and I was literally allergic to the world. Pretty much every tree, grass, dust, mold, any furry animals. I ended up getting a deviated septum taken care of by surgery and they also found a cyst too. I'm on regular allergy pills and prescription nose spray. Allergies are something I am going to have to deal with for rest of my life but I also feel so much better after learning and getting the right medicine. I can actually breathe now. If you feel like you have severe allergies and are holding off on going to doctor for them, I strongly recommend going! Its worth it.

I used to be a competitive cheerleader for 12+ years, we used to use the exact same glitter and glue for our competition makeup. Every time i would wipe it away, my eyes would be super red and irritated underneath. It wasn’t the glue as i patch tested the glue alone. I came to rhe conclusion that its FROM THE PLASTIC GLITTER PIECES SCRAPING YOUR EYEBALLS as you wipe them off. I used to give them a good soak with water and gently remove them after that. Worked like a charm. Glitter it up girl. ☺️
@sherlockmondragon3536 жыл бұрын
HIIMEMILYNICOLE sadly true. But she has a glue allergy. Said at the end of video at the 73 hours mark. Swatsi had hives there and glad she found out she said. I have the same allergy bandaids and all adhesive
@HIIMEMILYNICOLE6 жыл бұрын
Sherlock Mondragon The doctor said “ I was absolutely sure that it was going to be positive (for the glue), but shockingly it’s negative” she then recommends that she doesnt use it because it caused that irritation. If you go back in the video in her personal items part of the video you can see where the specialist says that. Im not kidding, i used that stuff for years and its caused by the glitter scraping your eye lids as you wipe it off. Unless you were to have a reaction to the glue alone. The girl also mentions that it would be fine during the day, but would be red underneath the glitter when she wiped it off.

It's great to see that this detailed of a an allergy test can be performed. I have been scared to use my beauty products lately bcuz it seems like every time I use anything on my face I get itchy burning watery eyes and a runny nose. That happens when I wash my face, use moisturizer, face masks,makeup remover (which is sisley and very costly),makeup etc. I also get new products all the time in my beauty subscriptions. So, it's crappy that I'm not able to use them and money is going to waste. So, I am glad to see that I can have specific test done to find out what I'm allergic to and what products that I own that I could be allergic to. Thanks for sharing.

I am 10 years old and have had a ton of allergy tests. I am allergic to eggs, peanuts, bananas, dog hair, and a lot more. I haven’t been able to eat cupcakes, cake, candy bars, and multiple types of food for my whole life. Oh and I am allergic to seafood. Please pray is all I gotta say 😂

I’m allergic to most spices, literally all except garlic, onion, parsley and salt. Pepper like even the type you season food at the table with is really bad. Many fruits and vegetables too. My safe foods are meats, honey crisp apples, navel oranges (none of the others), pears, potatoes...I know there’s others but it’s pretty limited so essentially no eating out for me and it’s a good thing I don’t get tired of food really

Kelsey, I feel you on those face irritations! I stopped using American skincare products because the cleaners and stuff turned out to be too harsh. I tried for more natural things like jojoba oil and the oil cleansing method for several months... and my never clear, always problematic skin cleared up... it was a miracle and what my face needed. I can now use cleansers and other products, but mild ones, so I tend to try to get Asian/Korean brand ones. This was a really informative video guys!

I work for a dermatologist and we do these patch tests weekly, they’re life changers! For Kelsey’s acne around the chin, it seems to be hormonal. I would consult with the dermatologist again & try to be put on Spironolactone twice a day. If that doesn’t help in a few months, you should actually consider Accutane. It’s truly a miracle drug for deep, painful acne.

I love this! People say to test things on a wrist or one product at a time, but with small circular bandages and surgical tape, you could try yourself! Loving the awareness and promotion of finding the cause. So many women just think it will be fine or it must happen to everybody. Love the idea, keep it up ladies! Xoxo

The only things I’ve ever found in my daily life that I’m allergic to cosmetic and vanity wise are nickel (like in earrings, bracelets, and necklaces it bothers me a little bit I still wear is) and then the Caudalie moisturizing sorbet. That one was really weird because I do have sensitive skin but I don’t get allergic reaction-type red patches on my face but that one just full on made me break out in hives.

Diva380 ... I don't. I know I can't wear any purple eyeliners, the carmine is a known irritant for lots of ppl. But this color is Smokey Charcoal. So I have no idea. This is a first for me to react this way without it being purple.
@ninamarie1776 жыл бұрын
W K I’m super allergic to nickel. Most black makeup pigments are iron oxides which can contain trace amounts of nickel. So I have to buy La Roche Posay mascara and eyeliner as they are the only company that I know that make sure their products are nickel free.

I got an environmental allergy test done when I was 10 or 11 on my arms. The worst part was that the doctor told me that one of them would react with my skin even if I was taking my allergy medicine. It was the worst 15 minutes because I couldn't move my arms to scratch at them or else I would have to do the test over again.

I’ve had so many allergy tests and the one thing that I’m allergic to is steel, that’s the metal they use for needles which is SUPER annoying considering I have to get vaccinations for when I travel (I go to Uganda a lot bc I have family there) so my arm gets a rash and cuts and I literally puke bc I have a blood phobia 😩

To all the people that want to do it, if you are going to undergo an allergy test, you should consult an allergologist, as the dermatologist will tell you what you are allergic to, BUT the allergologist can do it and also give you the treatment you need to avoid the worst symptoms, like anaphylactic shock in the worst case.

Chloe, I have extremely bad excema or however you spell it, I tried everything creams, seaweed baths, salt water and nothing worked. Then I came across a cream called Child’s Farm it’s worked wonders on me I’ve used it for about 2 months now and there is a BIG difference. I would really recommend it, although it won’t take away my actual scars from itching ( I have a fairly big one on my arm) it works wonders also going dairy free really helps! Hope this helped anyone reading this and Chloe you probably won’t see this as I’m really late but if you do see this good luck with it , it is a horrible thing to have it’s haunted me since I can remember , so anyways have a great day everyone!
