Well I must have hit the jackpot because my wife is awesome. The most important thing was she brought more than just sex to the relationship. She brought friendship, encouragement, understanding, compassion, and the bed room fun. I’m in my 60s. A woman has to bring more than bedroom fun to the relationship because that slows down as you get older. After broken backs, messed up arms, torn up knees, the bedroom fun just slows down. These injuries are not all one sided but both of us have broken ourselves over the last 40 years of our lives together. I date one girl and fall she brought to the relationship was the bedroom fun. The sad part was, that was not all that she brought. She also brought cheating, distraction from getting me college degree, drama between us, and drama between my friends. I dumped her when I caught her cheating on me. My girlfriend to wife brought stability to our relationship. She encouraged me to stay focused on getting my degree. She stayed focused on getting her degree. She encouraged me to have a healthy with her, but also my friends. My wife encouraged healthy relationships with everyone. She is a rare find. But she is also a woman that grew up in the 1970s and 1980s. I see a lot of these young girls now and I know of only two that are lady like and have solid common sense like my wife. That is not good odds for my son to have to find a Good wife. The sad part is both of these girls are teenagers (to young for my son) that have not been ruined by society so far.

You know, 30 years ago I had a great wife. She was a legal immigrant. We were happy, both of us. I adored her, did and would have done nearly anything for her. She was loving, always telling me how happy she was, how she loved how I treated her and made her feel. Fast forward about five years. She wants to start a small business. I encouraged her, trying to be a positive, supportive husband. She started attending chamber and business meeting and events. There she met American business women, most of which were angry, bitter, and miserable. They began convincing her how horribly I treated her, and that she deserved much, much more. She began to change, making unreasonable demands. Nothing I did or gave her was good enough. She wanted more, more, more. These women had twisted my sweet, old fashioned, pure, innocent wife into one of them. A miserable, screeching harpies, sucking the life out of everything around her. Sadly, we divorced. The funny thing was, that after our divorce several of the miserable harpies who twisted my wife actually reached out to me trying to start a relationship with me. Yeah, that was never going to happen. These women are miserable and cannot stand to see another woman truly happy. It seems they'll stop at nothing to destroy the good relationships women around them have. They are truly destructive creatures. Even more sadly than the divorce, months later my then ex-wife reached out to me and apologized. Stating that she was lied to and manipulated by these women who feigned friendship. Once her transformation to a miserable harpie was complete, her new "friends" cut her loose and turned their backs on her. Their goal was achieved, they made a happy, successful woman into one of them. Misery truly does love company. Now, over 35 years later, I still love her and miss her. I will as long as I am on this earth. For any women reading this, do what you know to be right. Find a good, decent man who you can be happy with, and ignore all the harpies in the world. If they're life is a miserable train wreck, why do you want to follow their advice? A good man wants a good, faithful woman. Not a gal that looks like a call girl, with the personality to match.

I do have one small area of disagreement. I don’t believe women can’t stand seeing other women being happy, I believe most women can’t stand men. Read their social media comments, it’s obvious. I used to do home care for the elderly. A client once told me about an epiphany that happened during a dinner party. They had received a very expensive set of dishes when married. One night they had a dinner party with friends. One lady said, " You must really think we're special, you got out the good china for us." Then it dawned on my client right then that no one was more special than her children and husband. From that night, she used those expensive plates every day, and didn't care if they were broken. Her kids would get the best she had. Unfortunately, this would probably never happen today.

It is extremely common for married women to whine about her husband “not doing anything” around the house and not helping her. When women say this, they are speaking about various chores inside the home such as cleaning, laundry, dusting, vacuuming, etc. If a man doesn’t do these things, then as far as women are concerned, he has done nothing. When it comes to various chores traditional done by men such as, cutting grass, shoveling snow, pruning trees, washing cars, doing maintenance on vehicles, performing all forms of repairs, etc. women consider all of those things to be the man’s duties. When it comes to all of those things, the vast majority of wives give their husbands absolutely ZERO credit for it and usually don’t even acknowledge it. A man could spend 15 hours on a weekend doing yard work, doing brake jobs on their vehicles, repairing the roof, etc. and his wife will tell her friends that her husband didn’t help her with a single thing on the weekend. Btw, not once in my life have I ever heard a man complain that his wife didn’t help with the yard work, clean out the garage or the garden shed, or any other task for that matter. A man would get laughed at if he said to a bunch of guys: “Just once it would be nice if she would just draw me a bubble bath, pour a glass of wine for me, and tell me to just relax while she goes out and does the oil change on my truck!”

Seems to me nobody remembers that we already went through this cycle many times. The "Roaring Twenties" resulted from the suffrage movements where women got the right to vote and own property followed by a period of debauchery that ended with the great depression when women realized they couldn't make it on their own and decided to go back to more traditional gender roles. It continued on through the 50s because of poor economic conditions caused by WW2 and the Korean War. It wasn't until the late 50s in to the early 60s when the economy started improving that women started seeking more independence, and debauchery, once again. Then the late 70s when the economy went to shit again, back they went in to their traditional roles. So in summary... women only pursue independence and debauchery during good financial times when being independent is financially feasible for them. When things are tough, they become more conservative and rush back in to the kitchen because they can't stand on their own financially. Its pretty much an established cycle. With the coming market crash, devaluation of our currency and the economic depression that will follow... women will soon be ditching their OF accounts and stampeding back to their traditional gender roles. For how long though? When will society learn?
@NevisYsbryd8 ай бұрын
"Society" will never learn. Fixing that would require the individual constituents of said society learning that and passing on that understanding their own progeny. I've seen the "marrying chad first then marrying a beta after they're divorced with kids" trend with women in my own life including my HS gf and my cousin. My HS gf got married to a guy she met her freshman year of college. He wasnt particularly attractive but he was tall and in good shape/ thin. Three years later she was divorced with two kids. Five years later she'd found a step dad. He was short, balding and overweight but he had a decent paying warehouse job. My cousin (who is about 10 years older than me) married the guy she'd dated since high school. He was a pretty good looking guy/ in good shape. They were married for several years but divorced with two kids about 5-6 years later. He cheated on her apparently and she started dating a guy who seemed like an exact replica of the guy my hs gf dated only again about 10 years older. Finally, I had a teacher my freshman year of high school who wasnt that much older than us (probably 20-22 at the time) who was actually a TA/ intern. Her younger sister was in my class. Both of them were shallow and saw the men they're with as status symbols. I remember hearing her younger sister say how much the teacher she wanted to get married and how depressed she was after her current bf broker up with her. A few months later she started dating (and ultimately married and had kids with) this guy who looked like a total chad. He actually seemed like a decent guy. Kind of stupid but decent haha. Anyway they divorced about 5 years ago and then she married some guy who was several years older than her and while he was in good shape and seemed to be a more established professional he was clearly no chad and balding. I bring all of this up to say its obvious how women see/ categorize men and when and under what circumstance each one gets their turn and its disgusting.

Women don't compute the concept of commitment to a person. They are committed to feeling a certain way - this can be provided by a guy, for some time, but it IS not the guy - and once it isn't him anymore, he's out, and there is zero remorse in her mind because she legit doesn't feel like betraying anything - after, she's still being 100% true to her feelings.

We struggled with finances like most people do on a single income household, but we made it work and my kids are happy well-adjusted adults. Jobs/careers are not more important than your kids. Once the kids hit 10-12, can start your career. Hopefully you got a degree in a field that you can possibly work at home or is easily flexible. Careers that are flexible include anything in design, music, accounting, real estate. Heck, if you become a music teacher, if your home is large enough can use a portion of it for teaching. You wouldn't become a music teacher if you didn't love making music in the first place.

I've given them advice much like this, Joker. Pack of cigs a day, $10+, $300+ a month. A beer a day and the club/bar weekend, $400+ a month. Morning Starbucks, $10+ and a few drinks through out the day, $400+ a month. I do none of that and they've never thought about it before, which amazes me that they can be so wasteful. And if you have a partner that does this too, you're looking at least double. $1000-2000 a month is a big deal. Several have quit smoking and cut their drinking a lot. They're thankful for opening their eyes and now they can live a much better life. You don't need all that stuff.

Really Boomer economics? Bro stfu! Rents up X4 in 10 years Mortgages up X8 in 15 years Cars up X20 in 25 years. But yes blame muh starbucks! Thats pathetic! Also they are competing for 1% of dudes. No idea where you got 10% from... App swipe rates are literally 1% now.

When I was married making 70k-80k a year I "wasn't a provider". Now that I'm divorced and moved and make 50k a year, I live far more comfortably and PEACEFULLY with way less stuff, doing fewer things. I enjoy being alone the vast majority of the time. As soon as you add a women to the equation, your bills and stress go through the roof and your life is no longer yours.

There's an old saying I heard as a kid: "look after the dimes and the dollars will look after themselves". Another saying I like is "life is a game of inches". Sort of the same idea you are talking about. The small things add up. People throw away their money a few dollars here, a few dollars there, and then complain that they are broke.

Yuck, I hate the word ‘partner.’

She has an equal partner. She has to keep saying it to remind herself because she is a cyborg.

If an empire is not conquered by an outside force it will eventually be destroyed from within by women and weak men. Strong men have a duty to keep these people in check.

And yet they don't because they're not actually strong men. 😆

@@peopleofearth6250 No, most of the time these strong men just want to be left alone. We as humans have to understand that is not possible as weak men, and women will never leave them alone.

@@peopleofearth6250 nah wimps like you just wouldn't like the consequences of strong men. You would be the first to yell na zi if they did what needed to be done. So stop your cope. Much better to let it and people like you collapse first, then rebuild.

@@Azureskies01Then they are not strong men. Those who want to be left alone will always lose to those who want to win. A guaranteed losing strategy is by definition not strong.

That young blond who stalked the guy at the grocery store and found out about his mother? That is definitely a stalker. I read an article once which said that private eyes use social media to help them with their work, and that they can often trace a person pretty quickly. I also read that HR departments do the same with job applicants. We all know that they do this. So I thought 'I wonder if I can find an ex-girlfriend or a long lost buddy, just to see what he or she is doing now?' So I did that and found an ex-gf in just minutes, and that she was on the other side of the world. I didn't contact her as that was not the goal. That would have been weird. But this was a simple experiment. So I said to a colleague at work (a female): 'Wow - it's really scary as to how powerful search engines have become.' Her response to me was: 'Why are you stalking your old girlfriend?' I nearly blew my top at this damned accusation. So there you are: when a man googles his ex-gf, then he is stalking her. But not when a woman does it with her ex-bf.
