This has always been one of my favourite comedy sketches. I showed it to my sons when they were in their teens. Then I had to go through a phase of them saying to me "mother know your limits" when they wanted to be smart arses.

Quite right Lucy, know your limits! 😂😂😂 For the record, this was part of Harry Enfield's sketch show, This was intentionally filmed b&w, obviously the rest was colour, and it was broadcast in the early 90s. Me and most of my school watched it, and 'women, know your limits' became a British catchphrase for a few years.😋

OMG, that reaction was absolutely priceless! Lucy shaking her head, whilst Brad was roaring with laughter, I love you two! 😂🤣 The key to this awesome sketch really, is that the archaic misogyny itself is the butt of the joke. Anyone who thinks the sketch itself is misogynistic is completely missing the point. Harry Enfield's shows are amazing, and so hilarious, just British comedy at it's best. Check out "Women Keep Your Virtue", or "Gay Nazis" next!

You would love Enfield's "Cornish ladies man" sketches. They feature a Cornish guy sat the the pub, telling stories about how he pulled then had sex with various celebrities. Obviously bullshit, the stories are both vulgar and laced with funny (but fake) sexual slang/gibberish. In a couple of them, Enfield struggles to keep a straight face and contain his laughter!

I think these attitudes should be brought back. I mean, if we don't, we may end up with women driving cars for heaven's sake!
