I think the house in which she was staying is named Zojilla after Zojilla Pass, which is one of very high 14000+ ft mountain passes on the road from Srinagar to Leh, that is closed six months out of twelve because of snow. It is the site of one of the critical battles of the Kargill war. There are two tunnels under construction, the Zojilla tunnel and the Z-morh (or Z-turn, after the shape of the turn) tunnel, that will provide 12 month connectivity when finished, and will aid not just the army, but also civilians and tourism between Kashmir and Leh.

In India, the lowest rank of officer was 2nd Lieut., and I think that has now been removed. The most junior rank is Lieut., which is not pronounced Loo-te-nant as in the US (and in the original French), but Lef-te-nant as in the UK. The word of course literally means in lieu of the tenant, but in the context means someone who is acting in place of the senior officer.
@justanotherarmyvet2.07 ай бұрын
I did not know that!! And why did they remove the rank of 2nd LT?

Bayonet training still relevant specially if you are fighting at high altitudes, we have to fight between rock boulders, After some initial casualties it's CQB hand to hand & knife to knife more in between combat you don't have time to blink or refill ammos but these enemy come with heavy armor protection so put knife in face, thighs or sides but it's still works

There's this movie "Main Atal Hoon", whose trailer is getting a lot of hype in India. It is about India's former PM, Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He founded Modi's party, and was known for being one of the most gentlemanly people to hold that post. He tried to play the game of politics with utmost honesty in a time where corruption was at a high. (I think I'd written about him a couple months ago in your comments section) I don't think any English reaction channels have reacted to it yet, so it may be an opportunity for you to capitalize; just poll the audience if they want a reaction to the trailer (you'd need to be quick, otherwise the hype will wear down after a couple weeks).

@@justanotherarmyvet2.0 I like that you interject in between to share your experiences and insights. i feel that you could talk a bit more about the 'content' towards the end. let's say 5-6 mins instead of the 2-3 that you usually do. not that i'm complaining. that bit about 'why're you lying in the minefield' had me laughing too 🤣
