So people will pay to see Hugh Jackman as Wolverine but they maybe reluctant to see another actor play him. Furthermore, he’s a superhero who doesn’t look bestial or require massive CGI to render (Beast, Nightcrawler, Wolfsbane, Angel, Colossus, Iceman, Mystique). Because he’s a hero who is action focused, making interesting cinematic fights instead of filming someone standing around looking at things intensely (Cyclops, Storm, Phoenix, Professor X, Magneto), and he’s a dude (not Psylocke, Dazzler, Rogue, Shadowcat, or Mystique again)

@@darthhuntanoth3134 The scene where Carol questions who she is and Maria gives that monologue, that meant something far deeper than the "Thor goes brr" entrance, that level of friendship and picking people up was never accomplished before in the MCU or never got me personally to tears before. Also the memory scene was amazing storytelling and completely grabbed my interest, and the twist villian trope was done very well. I'm more interested to hear what the hell made it a disgrace to movies lol.

My biggest pet peeve in the first Xmen movie is that they made Jean Grey a competition for cyclops and logan. She barely knew Logan and Logan just said "tElL hEr mY hEaRt bElOnGs tO sOmEoNe eLsE." obviously implying HER. Almost FORCING her to pick one of them, when Cyclops was her boyfriend from the beginning. Also I love Storm and Black Widow :p
