Most of the south state also gets increase of seats currently southern state of india contribute 24.12% after delimitation it contribute to 21.62 % slight decrease in 2.5% which is not as much.

If PM can control whole nation , 1 MP can control any nos of population . Area wise delimitation is preferable 3.2M sqkm area divide by current seats will get around 6000sqkm its same like a district . Population controling is responsibility of states.

If population is the only basis of delimitation, then it is absolutely unfair that the south states who successfully controlled their population growth rate will have to see their share of representation in Parliament fall down and states who mindlessly increased their population will get the advantage. Delimitation if done sud be done by considering many more parameters like Area, GDP, Forest area etc of each state.

To think that women's reservation affects "delimitation" is to stretch things too far, like a lady riding a horse! There isn't any overlap. I think it is a motivated obfuscation to lead thinking people astray. Which constituencies will have to be reserved for them? Draw "lots" (like lucky or unlucky dip) as was done to decide- who should retire after the first 2 years, after the first Rajya Sabha was constituted.

The Ganga Plain and Indus Plain have always been densely populated throughout history due to fertile land, water and a suitable climate for population growth. The south has never been populated. The climate and scarcity of agricultural land and water in the south can't maintain a stable fertility rate.
