You could see in the 7th lap Ledecky had burnt herself out trying to break Titmus....she went backwards...great tactics by Titmus.

Both girls are champs in and out of the pool. Kate is the antithesis of most U.S swimmers. She's the opposite pole to (for example) Gary Hall Jnr or Lily King.

Beautiful and fantastic olympic race, although Ledecky ended up losing, but Titmus is also a pools heroine!
@chrisamon802 жыл бұрын
Not so fast. Not so fast. We'll make a deal. Katie Ledecky will learn about how well she gets the Gold and Ariarne Litmus will get the same Gold, too. It will be a tie unanimously. They'll have it just like Nancy Hogshead and Carrie Steinseifer in 1984 Los Angeles Olympics for Women's 100m Freestyle. It's a deal. Learn it from the Coaches.

The Ledecky cold shoulder at the end. Stunning lack of sportsmanship. But that's what Americans do when they lose. I've even seen it in wheelchair tennis. It's not in their DNA to accept defeat.
