Beu, the remnant of the former SPGs great PNG women's relay team, and the great Toea Wisil's lieutenant. You in the final lap already made your nation confident of this outcome. God bless you and congratulations PNG girls always the best in relay.

Wonderful performance by the PNG team. Adriane Monagi's brilliant run set the foundation for PNG to blitz the rest of the field when it was handed over to our anchor. Proud of you girls for proving Bob Snow wrong as it seemed my forner coach was predicting it to be a New Caledonian victory.

Fiji with the school girls excuses here too?! 😅 gosh guys! how embarrassing 🙈 we need to stop with the excuses. Kudos to PNG for their well-deserved victory! Fiji, a silver medal is better then nothing. We come out strong next Pacific Games! 🎉🇫🇯

Ain't that the truth...Most of our athletes now are high school kids...Leonie Beu, Monagi and the rest of this PNG team have been running since Younis Bese was around 😂...So, they have stayed in the sport..Which is not the case for Fiji... All our prospective good athletes like Younis Bese, Helena Young, Makereta Naulu, Elenani Tinai , Aron Powell, Tony Lemeki, Lasarusa Senibale have all chose other ventures like rugby...Take this PNG girls, they've been in athletics for nearly a decade...The only athletes we have , are the high school students via the Coca Cola games...Unless and until we're able to keep them in the sport, Fiji will be unstoppable considering the immense pool of talents we have..

Our problem with all our sporting bodies we used to swim across the river while other pacific nations build bridges across the river, look at png they got a sport program in Goroka similar to the Aussie AIS, fiji, samoa etc put on a huge programs into their rugby...theres no logic just bridging the gap inorder to improve not regular swiming to the other side. Congrats png girls
