Manasi Dwivedi well I kno that he quoted Bible in this lec and referred other religions saying that it doesn't give empowerment to women which I do believe it was wrong of him. However, zakat isn't applied by everyone so it gets complicated.

Verse 229 of surah baqarah explanation about *seperation from women side(khula)* In the terminology of Islamic Law this is known as khul', i.e. a woman's securing the annulment of her marriage through the payment of some compensation to her husband. Whatever settlement is made between a husband and wife should come into effect. If the matter is referred to the court, however, it will investigate only whether the wife has really become too disgusted with the husband to put up with him. (For the Traditions on the basis of which the author concludes this see the commentaries on this verse in Ibn Kathir and Qurtubi, see especially the latter, vol. 2, pp. 946-8 - Ed.) Once this is determined the court is entitled to fix the amount of payment incumbent on the wife as compensation for the repudiation of her marriage, and the husband will be bound to accept that amount and divorce his wife. In general, the jurists believe that the payment, thus fixed, should not be higher than the original mahr paid by the husband. The divorce that comes into effect is irrevocable and brings separation into effect immediately. Since the woman has paid compensation, she has in effect purchased the right of repudiation and the husband, therefore, has ceased to have the right to revoke the divorce. If, however, the spouses agree to recontract marriage, they may do so. According to the majority of jurists the period of waiting under khul' is the same as under divorce. However, there are several Traditions in Abu Da'ud, Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah, etc., which show that the Prophet fixed the period of waiting at one menstrual period, and that 'Uthman applied this in a case which he decided. (See Ibn Kathir's commentary on the verse.)

( There is no monasticism in Islam) Al Mu'jam Al Awsat Lit Tabraani Vol - 1 Page - 162 Anyone who marries completes have his Deen Sahih Al Bukhari 5138 Narrated Khansa bint Khidam Al-Ansariya: that her father gave her in marriage when she was a matron and she disliked that marriage. So she went to Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) and he declared that marriage invalid. Musnad Ahmad 2469 Ibn ‘Abbās reported that a girl came to the Messenger of Allah and she reported that her father had forced her to marry without her consent. The Messenger of God gave her the choice... between accepting the marriage or invalidating it. (Musnad Ahmad, No: 2469) Another observer narrates the same report, but adds: The girl said: ‘Actually, I accept this marriage, but I wanted to let women know that parents have no right to force a husband on them’. (Ibn Mājah, No: 1873) (Parents can't force daughters to marry someone they don't like) MOTHER 17 : 23 - 24( Utmost respect to old parents) 6 : 151(Be good to your parents) 29 : 8( Be kind to your parents, but if they mislead you don't obey them) 31 : 14(Show gratitude to your parents) 46 : 15 4 : 1 sunan al nasai 3106 It was narrated from Mu'awiyah bin Jahimah As-Sulami, that Jahimah came to the Prophet ﷺ and said:"O Messenger of Allah! I want to go out and fight (in Jihad) and I have come to ask your advice." He said: "Do you have a mother?" He said: "Yes." "(75% of love and compassion goes to mother) SISTER 9 : 71 3) EDUCATIONAL RIGHTS sunan ibn majah 224 It was narrated from Anas bin Malik that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: "Seeking knowledge is a duty upon every Muslim, and he who imparts knowledge to those who do not deserve it, is like one who puts a necklace of jewels, pearls and gold around the neck of swines." sahih al bukhari 101 Narrated Abu Sa`id Al-Khudri:Some women requested the Prophet (ﷺ) to fix a day for them as the men were taking all his time. On that he promised them one day for religious lessons and commandments. Once during such a lesson the Prophet said, "A woman whose three children die will be shielded by them from the Hell fire." On that a woman asked, "If only two die?" He replied, "Even two (will shield her from the Hell-fire). Mother Ayisha (R-HA),wife of Prophet. One of her very famous student whose name was Arwa, she said, "I was not see any scholar greater than Ayesha (R-Ha) in learning of the Quran, obligatory duties, in lawful and un-lawful things, in literature, in poetry, in Arabic history. Ayesha (R-ha) taught 100s of scholars. She was scholars of the scholars.2210 hadiths were reported only on the authority of Ayisha RA 4) LEGAL RIGHTS 2 : 178 - 179 5 : 38(equal punishment against stealing) 24 : 2(equal punishment against adultery) 24 : 4 ( Quran protects the women) Woman has option to maintain her maiden name 5) ECONOMIC RIGHTS No verse in the Qur'an which prohibits a woman to work. Hijab means modesty. Both men and women have to be modest. If both ends don't meet and if a woman wants to work, she can work as long as it is within the preview of Islamic Sharia. She maintains the hijab and can adopt many noble professions e.g. teaching and medicine, where modesty is protected and hijab is maintained. It is a need of Islamic societies that women should become teachers, doctors, nurses, lawyers and traders. If women works by following the Islamic Sharia then whatever she earns, she need not to spend on her family. She can keep all of her earning for herself. That is her right and no one can force her to give anything to the family. 4 : 4 (Mahr ie. Marital gift is compulsory for men, Women is on the recieving end.) 4 : 32 In Islam demanding dowry directly or indirectly from the would - be wife is haram. (Misconception about muslim women) I strt with surah bakarah where said "there is no compulsion over religion" n "allah test those whom he love most" specially women, as mention in hadith... common sense.. 1)hijab is cultural i cant find hijaab wrd so its cultural bt allah encourage women wear about outer garment so tht ppl recognize them as a muslim women n nt to become sex object. btw face n headscovering is sunnah.. It depends on your intention quotes verses of the Qur'an so u can use that verse right, Dr. Zakir said read the Qur'an as a whole because a lot of non muslim missionaries or Islam Hater pick a verse sometimes just a few words of the verse in the Qur'an just to create missconception without context at all, that the reason why! like Dr. Zakir said we Muslim need to obey Allah SWT and follow His Messangers example in other word we need to follow the Qur'an and Shahih(autentic) Hadits, because did u know if Qur'an can be explained in various way? There is some verse can be explained by the Qur'an it self meaning u can understand that verse by reading the context in the Qur'an it self, and there is some verse u need to understand it by following the example by Prophet Muhammad SAW in the sahih hadits like prayer/shalat 4 example in the Qur'an we told to establish 5 time shalat, but no further explanation in the Qur'an how we Prays/shalat so Rasulallah SAW teach us how we pray, how we need 2 move and what we have to say when we pray. That is why in islam u can't just pick a words/a verse in the Qur'an, & intepreting it by ur self just how u want, everything in Islam has been explained in the Qur'an itself & Shahih Hadits & thats the job of muslim Scholars who has been give their live to study Qur'an & Hadits to give us the reference and explained further, like Dr. Zakir, or Syekh Uthman in USA & others Scholars, so we don't need to learn it by ourself, cause to master it we need to learn for years to understand just the basic regarding Qur'an & hadits. Because of that, we can't just randomly pick a verse and interpreted it by ourself without knowledge, that one of the reason why Qur'an is the only religious scripture that has been preserved, cause everything in Islam has to be explained with knowledge I am not a scholar like Him, because I just an common muslim & I still need to learn a lot, lot, lot more, so i just want to clarify the missconception u made in ur comment. & sorry 4 my bad enlish, hope u understand. Roop, I'm not a muslim, but, like all of the abrahamic religions, muslim, christianity, and judaism, they believe that you should dedicate your life to converting people to the 'true god' for the sake of all humanity. If you are a member of another religion, you will lead a life much differently than the other, leading to different things for you both in the afterlife. Our lives here aren't really valued as much as in the afterlife. Here is maybe 80 years if you're lucky. But, if you are a good, god believing person, you will live in happiness forever when you die. It is a belief much different than hinduism. They believe in reincarnation, right? The others don't. Each soul is individual and for the people you care about and love, why would you want to not spend forever with them? that would be pretty crazy for someone to not want their friends and family to be with them in the afterlife.
