Im 31 years old and its crazy to think how back when I was 15 I would skate (as most reading this would) with my group of small friends and never in the street or even in skateparks would I see a girl skateboarding. And seeing all these now makes me so happy. Some people call sports "male dominated" and things like that, but I think it's just because women havent been doing it for as long, for assume different reasons or social factors or w.e.. But as that announcer said, majority of us skaters couldnt even skate like these girls back when we were their age, so just imagine when theyre 25 or 30!!

For most it wouldn't be an even playing field as womens skating has been held back until recently. It would be good to see events where those that are ready can compete together. In mens competition a 540 is a standard trick and 1080 is pushing the boundary where as in the womens competition 540 is noteworthy and nobody has landed a 720.

in many countries, that is not a big deal. Especially European countries are waaay more relaxed in regards to alcohol - we don't let kids drink of course, but we don't shield them from the concept of alcohol either. skating is not a toddler competition. most skaters - with buying power - are old teens and adults.

Women’s skateboarding is still somewhat “recent”. The sport is evolving, that’s why the best skaters are like 12. And it’s gonna be like that for the upcoming years, the younger girls are gonna be pushing harder and harder. They’ll eventually reach the men’s level. In like 4 decades lol. We’re already seeing more and more girls in skate parks and skating.
