The husbands are usually brothers. So all children are related to all fathers one way or another. Also the land is handed down to one family rather than split among multiple siblings. They have fewer children. And the household income is higher. It makes a lot of sense.

Carrie Geren Scoggins [Official] problem is there are more than one holy book.
@CarrieGerenScogginsOfficial7 жыл бұрын
Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life, and no man comes unto the Father except through me... Anyone professing to know God, that does not follow this truth, is a false prophet. The Holy books are those that are compiled in the Bible, and Dead Sea Scrolls, from the true God. It is not all paths lead to God, as Jesus is the only way, the only path, and no man comes unto the Father except through Him. The new age false doctrine that other religions are equal, that any religion will bring salvation, or take you on a path to God, is the end times false religion of antichrist. Rejecting this truth is rejecting salvation, rejecting Christ, and making a blatant statement before God that you have left the Christian faith, which states that without Jesus Christ's shed blood on the cross for remission of sin, His blood atonement, one can not be reconciled back unto God.

I learned about this in school. Apparently the reason the custom exists in this community is because they are so poor that the work and income of multiple men is needed to be enough to economically support a wife and her children
@yangzomsherpa97075 жыл бұрын
😕
@carsade4 жыл бұрын
Yep as its not based on feelings it is more likely to work but instead why not find a way to better the economy as I feel a lot of pressure is on the one woman to meet all the needs of each husband...what if they both want to have some alone time with her the same time does she spend a couple hours with one and then after the next gees plus shed have to cook for all her husbands and however many children they have together..isnt having extra husbands still extra mouths to feed...this just helps keep the land/resources in one place and not necessarily prevent it from having being shared up by many...to some degree perhaps, less people but if both sons were to have their own wives who is to say they would both have too much children...the one woman may more likely give birth to more children if she has multiple husbands to sleep with if that makes sense...

This tradition still prevails in the Mosuo community Of Southern China as well; and its true that that community is ethnically Tibetan too. Both communities have lived peacefully and taken advantage of allowing Women to be the Matriarchs and breadwinners of their families while the men look after the kids and do other chores. Please do not call the women "sluts" and "prostitutes", and try to understand the history and reasons behind their practice with a broad mind.

From Hong Kong In the old days, Chinese culture allow man to have a few wife, but woman could have only one husband. Once upon a time, a Chinese girl told me that it is not fair. But after listening to what I said, she doesn't mind about this any more. I told her, "What kind of man would like to become the second husband of a woman? The answer is simple. Only those men who have no money, no property, no asset, unable to earn enough money to feed a family, a man who is nobody.....would accept this. So it is a shame if you tell others you have 2 or 3 husbands." But it is not the other way round. If a man told the others he has a few wife, he would be well respected because in order to afford a few wife, he must be either be rich, have power, clever, have talent in some sort of field, in any case not a nobody.
@AL-ve3ym5 жыл бұрын
What kind of woman like to become the second wife to a man? The answer is simple. Only those women who have low self esteem issues, not highly educated, basically a loser beta among the female population who has to succumb to being the 2nd wife of a man . No highly intellectual and capable woman would ever accept their position as a 2nd or 3rd wife because there is no need for them to, and therefore it is a shame to tell others you have 2 or 3 wives because the other subsequent wives you getting sure has shit for brains. I don't understand how is that to be respected lol . Unless all the wives are smart capable power women then yea maybe the man sure got something special going on such that they are willing to sacrifice being a 2nd or 3rd wife. But no.. most of these subsequent wives are the gulliable weak beta ones imao. The Chinese girl that you spoke to must be some gulliable young thing to buy your story

Those are two unrelated things. A woman who is overburdened when taking care of multiple young children and whose body has gone through hell recently and who likely isn't thrilled about getting pregnant again and going through it all again while she's taking care of multiple kids isn't going to be dying to have sex at the end of a long day I imagine but every woman and every couple is different. Any woman who has a husband who is considerate of all she has to do and takes steps to ease that burden by hiring help or helping with that himself is going to be more receptive to him. As far as 40 year old women, hormonally women reach their sexual peak at around 35 years old and women usually have more confidence at that age . If there aren't other factors such as medical problems or having a husband who is inconsiderate or worse, abusive, if she had children or not she will probably be more interested in sex and able to enjoy it more at 40 than she did at 18 (or God forbid younger) or in her 20s

Its not every woman have many husband, the title its self is a blunder as it should state only a community in Nepal. The title makes the name of Nepal very untrue as it doesn’t happen in Nepal.
