Great video and kit! It's nice to see "normal" kits specifically for UK usage. Lots of practical stuff. So many EDC videos online are US based and all about knives and guns! Main problem with mine is its getting a bit heavy so trying to slim it down, and then the other issue is trying to make sure that medicine isn't expired.

Thanks so much, yeah, that's exactly why i made the video, the US has so many prepared people, and while i'm far from a prepper i've had some experinces that have led me to never want to be to stuck - I was not far from the 7/7 attack in london, and it really shpaed how I live now.

Not all Americans do the survivalist kits. There are differences between prep and survivalist. I keep a mini kit in the glove box in our cars: sewing kit, a few bandaids scissors, tweezers, nail file, toothpicks, pencil, pad and utility multi tool. I can't tell you how many times we've used those items! Fits in about a 4x6 bag. We keep sanitizer and tissues in the console. In the trunk we have a small bag with water, food bars, a blanket, flashlight and such. When our kids were little we kept our most important kit: small magnetic travel games, cups, bowls and sporks under the seat along with paper towels. 😂❤ Mothers have always been prepared: the diaper bag!!👏🏻 Have a beautiful day!

Great video, I also carry a Tide Pen or Shout sachets for stain removal. Great in restaurants when the grandchildren give me a cuddle and wipe their chocolate lips on my white linen blouse. If you can treat it straight away with Tide or Shout it really gets rid of the stain.

Yeah my EDC is definitely not a survivalist type thing, as we live in such a small place, we could usually walk home from most places if we had to, but I do keep a proper survival kit in my car just in case.

This is both beautiful and useful. Thank you for sharing. One thing I wonder is if you’ve accessed much of this stuff for real life applications? I noticed that your wee bags are quite tightly packed, and when I had mine that tightly packed, I found I didn’t bother getting the thing I needed out in the moment. When I narrowed things down a bit and put them in bags that had a little more give, I found that I was much more excited about using the items. But that could just be me and my own limited patience. 🙄

Sorry for the delay replying. Yes I do actually use almost everything quite regularly. I’ve found the way the bag opens allows me to access things if you like it down without having to empty everything and then the pouches I know the contents so well that I can rummage through them. For example my first aid kit gets used all the time. Either for my own children for me, or often for complete strangers. I do remove anything I find I don’t use though. I’m always tinkering! 😂

I carry hard candy, suckers a balloon and whistle. The balloon can keep the kids entertained or if I need to use it for water. I love your bag and how it folds out.

Add a roll of dog poop bags. It's compact but you have about 20 count for emergencies. Add ziplocks for leftover snacks and pastries😂. Or yucky wet things.

Good video, like the others say. Good to see another Uk one. I would suggest swapping out the Gerber multi tool for one with a non locking blade. I got one called the Black Knight from Hennie Haynes for around £40 and is legal to carry. Good luck with the new hip! I’ve had both replaced in the last few years…

i recently found these mini glow sticks used for fishing that might be nice to hand to kids( as long as they are not to young ie swallow risk) the brand is ocean sun light stick and they come in packs of 5 in a foil pouch they are tiny but last all night. 4.5 cmx 3mm. Ive been deep in a mall when the power goes out and its not fun!

I really enjoyed your video. Something I would suggest for you to add is a whistle. I heard you say there are times you are out in the evening. If you ever feel that someone is following you or you feel you are in danger you can use the whistle to draw attention and help from other people.

Hi. If you have trouble with biting insects, Try AVON Skin so soft spray. Smells great, softens skin but most importantly, contains insect repellant that works. Only thing that successfully repels the dreaded scottish midges

Sadly it looks like it may be discontinued but the ‘Wimbledon’ is very similar with an identical interior. I’ve also found a few Hackney’s on Vinted. 😊

The juxtaposition of having all this little bits and bobs to desinfect, clean, keep away bugs, remedy small injuries, and so on, and not carrying proper equipment to protect against a virus that can potentially be disabling. Oh well ... I understand this will come across quite dickish and I do very much appreciate the cloth mask you have to protect others - thank you.

Thank you. I do keep n95 masks etc in my car as my goal is to return to it in an emergency however I take your point. In the U.K. we have rarely ever needed anything more than the n95 masks, so I don’t routinely carry that sort of thing in my day to day bag. Anything more is very hard to get hold of in the U.K. in my experience.
