Clark is the living embodiment of the basketball video game created player that took you hundreds of games to get up to a 99 rating. The mastery of the game that you acquired while building up to 99 along with the maxed out skills your player has at that point enable you to completely dominate the game. Your experience from grinding out all those games enables you to anticipate everything that's going to happen. Because of that, you always have your player in the right spot at the right time and your max skills allow you to hit crazy shots and complete crazy passes from anywhere on the court. If I was playing her as a video game character, I don't think I could do much better with her in the game than she does in real life. Her level of skill on offense is absurd!

I like the way Clark never takes the last obvious shot at the end of a blow out. edit : after watching the SC win in the finals I can see the same game against State. Give Iowa State the same three under the basket that SC had and you have a loss for Iowa in this game. The tallest girl in the line up spent most her time at the offensive end out at the 3 point line. SC took advantage of the rebounding and the Iowa mistakes that State wasn't able to without the height advantage.

I cannot comprehend why Team Championship is the measure to be a GOAT. Basketball is played by standard 12 players in a team with 5 players always in the active floor. The individual player may be the best but no back-up for the success of the team, then is not the best? While someone is a great player but not as great as the greatest but with excellent team mates to win a championship, he became the GOAT. Its ridiculous. Then the late Mr 11 champion is the GOAT.

@@davidedwards4720 Perhaps you should find a replay of what caused the technical foul on McMahon at the end of the first half. It was a total fake and flop by Clark that the ref fell for - an absolute joke and embarrassment to the women's game. It was cut from this recap, of course, because it doesn't fit the Clark narrative that is constantly pushed on us. @jamesmcpherson57158 ай бұрын
She may not have gone out there but she did show her concern by losing her sh*t on the sidelines and she needed to be told to calm down(I am putting it mildly) by Jan Jenson. Some of her emotion might have been play related but you can tell there was much more to it. Molly was "the Heart, Hustle and Headband." It took coach Bluder awhile but she realized how important Molly was. Molly became more than just another 3-point shooter and backup to CC she thought she was getting. She was CC's partner in crime. Having 2 great point guards on the court at the same time was an incredible advantage. Go back and watch how Molly's role evolved because of CC when they were together on the court. Molly was not just another shhoter to CC. Molly was a security blanket for CC. She was always there to bail out CC when she was struggling either by scoring or running the offense. The best way to fully understand would be to go back and watch the 2021 tournament game between Central Michigan (starring sophomore pg Molly Davis) and Iowa. Ironically, the announcer pointed out how the Iowa offense looked lost when CC had to go to the bench and that they needed someone to keep the offense running. As it turns out the answer was the star PG on the other team who would join them for the 2022-2023 season. That year the starting lineup was the same as the year before. So, Molly D. did not start too often. However, the outcome was different. Coach Bluder knew it was going to be tough to win without Molly to backup CC. History had proven that. Say what you want about CC's greatness. In the end she is still human. She stated several times at the start of both tournaments how she felt the weight of the world on her shoulders.

The sports media is so bad. You can't give women their own sports then combine their records with men. Pistol Pete left LSU 20 years before the 3 point line and the shot clock. They charted all his shots and where they were taken on the floor and it is estimated that Pistol Pete would have averaged around 60 points per game if both were used while he was playing. The shot clock increased scoring by a lot because teams had adopted a slow down 4 corners type offense to run the clock out. He also played against stiffer competition.
