this game holds a special place for me no other game could ever touch .. such great memories playing this absolute gem, I've got hopes they will do a remake of this title with dragons trap and monster boy out already it would be a great next step for the wonder boy series. tbh though anything wonder boy I'm there .. but to remake this gem I'd pick it up day one without hesitation.

The last boss is a carbon nanotubes brained in a silicon carbide ultraresistent shell contruct creature, very probabely created by the strong electromagnetic field from some powerful energy user,just like Zio,the dark wizard,from phantasy star IV. Knowledge is full n infinity power.

When you find the charm stone you can take it to the secret location at 22:56 in the castle town to get a heart container earlier, instead on waiting until the final tower. Then if you waste 500,000 on the 2nd charm stone you can get a bunch of useless magic at the same location. Since the only time you can get that much money is to farm in the final tower, and at that point its not needed you already have enough magic.

I can't get past the moving steps just before the boss with the changing heads it's driving me crazy.

@@charlied7845 I got by it eventually. But if u look at one of these play throughs the guy was able to avoid the second steps by jumping up and getting the rope at the top of the first steps the ones that bring u up. But I think u need certain boots to jump high enough to reach the rope.

armor, defence, speed "P" is the percentage level... as you observe when uprading your weapon, shield, boots...

Monster Lair was released before The Dragon's Trap, so Monster Lair would actually be Wonder Boy 3 and The Dragon's Trap would actually be Wonder Boy 4.

Actually it was released only on the Genesis. It was the first Wonder Boy to not have a Master System release.
